Loved the traditional style decorations of this place. Food selections for morning dim sum is limited. No cheung fun. This is a surprise. Service is ok. Pricing of the dim sum is slightly on the expensive side. Pls note although there is 10% service charge...added to the bill, according to the staff they do not get this. So you will need to pay cash in order for the waitress to get the tip.More

Fantastic dim sum and tea experience. This is how it should be I think, lovely small plates of restaurant made dim sum, paired with your individual choice of tea. Served in antique and calm surroundings that is a million miles away from noisy HK streets...or the bling of modern giant dim sum restaurants. This is a spot for calmer conversation over a tea (served the traditional way dependent on the type of tea you want, green, white, red, fermented etc). White table clothes and genteel wait staff add a touch of ‘old HK club’ feel to the Chinese tea and dim sum food experience.More

When i was just ready for going home from work, my mum inform me that she need to take a rest tonight. Therefore, she told me to prepare my dinner. I just dont wanna cook. So i dated my husband for dinner. We went to...Little Mario's Pizzeria. The decoration there was very stylish and the seats were comfotable. The staffs are friendly. They actively introduce the menu to us. We orderered Mocha, pineapple oolong shaken tea, spicy vegetable samosus, Truffles carbonara and Chicken Tikka Pizza. The pineapple Oonlong tea is fresh and appetizing. The Mocha is amazing and very creamy. The samosus and the Pizza are of indian style which amazed me a lot. I will surely come back for one more Tikka pizza. When i was just ready for going home from work, my mum inform me that she need to take a rest tonight. Decided to eat here for a quick lunch with family after roaming around Hong Kong Island and before making our way to the airport. Got ushered to the upper floor (I think foreigners get herded there?), service was quick and a bit impersonal, English language...menu available, dimsum was delicious but a bit expensive.More

If one wants to experience the very old style of Chinese dim sum restaurant which offers authentic & high standard food, this is a definite choice on top of the list. It’s pig’s lung almond soup is a must try & very rich & yummy....The baked chicken rice in dry scallop sauce was very flavourful while chicken was tender & juicy. The fish maw & pan-fried pepper in shrimp paste were of high standards. The steamed beef ball was a very old style dim sum which I didn’t like as much when I was young but I love it now. What was not as good was the steamed shrimp dumpling since the wrapping was a bit rough in texture. Of course, the overall price tag was not cheap but acceptable.More

A difficult place to find and came with quite good reviews. However, we found it relatively bland, and very expensive compared to the alternate options. The preserved Duck Pie was the stand out, with great pastry. Dumplings were very “ordinary” though. We had 4 dishes,...one of which was greens, and the bill was $500 HK+. Ridiculous given the choices.More

This place was recommended in a HK brochure so thought it must be reasonably good. It was terrible. There are 3 floors without windows, music or ambience and we were sent to 2nd floor even though ground floor with windows and some people wasn’t full....It was like eating in a bland cafeteria. Food wasn’t much better and soooo overpriced. Very, very expensive for what it is. Also, had to pay cash for drinks and could pay card for food. What’s the about?! We didn’t even have enough cash! Topped off a crap night (our last in HK) where we were excluded from two bars because guys were wearing shorts! It’s the 21st century and 23 degrees - get with the program HK. There are no tourists around because of the riots and yet we get treated like this. We don’t want to spend our money here now. Glad we’re leaving.More

We are a big fan of Luk Yu for more than 10 yrs. However, we have not visit for last 2 year as we did not have a chance to come to HK. This time at luk Yu is a must for me. We always...go go dimsum during the morning time. No tourist at all. (always like this). One thing I regcon is the Service improve a lot which is not so familiar to me 😂. YET the food is so yummy. Honestly, before I went this time, I check all the review and luk Yu got only 3.5 stars for service and the price. To me, I still keep coming to luk to for Breakfast Dimsum and local feelings which I would not get from anywhere.More

Luk Yu Tea House was established in 1933 on Wing Kut Street in Central District where business men meet every morning and over lunch daily. You need to be somebody before you could book a table as most tables are being booked daily. In 1967 the...Tea House moved to the current Stanley Street. The Tea House has four floors with the kitchen located on the fourth floor. The Tea House is decorated with many old Chinese paintings painted by famous artists such as the late Zhang Daqiam and others. Dim sum at Luk Yu Tea House is mediocre while dinner is much better. I like the shark fin fry egg in particular as most restaurants do not have it on their menu.More

Strangely a lot of customers complaint was about being sent to the 2nd or 3rd floor, we had the most prominent table on ground floor. I didn't mention that was my birthday, but I was treated like a king, the short old waiter was polite...and friendly; we had a good long conversation about the history of the place, and about the three paintings on the 1st floor, and priceless and all ... the food was good, everything was good.More
