This bar has an excellent selection of beers. It's literally pages of beers, where it could make it tough to decide. Bartender there is very cool and helpful with selections.

The new refurb was well done and the place looks good. Having said that, if the globe was just a guy standing at a trestle table on the street, handing out pies, I'd still give them 5 stars!!

A little bit hard to find sort of tucked away in the Mid levels came across this traditional British pub. They had a few ales and stuff like that if thats your thing and the wine was good too. The menu consisted of real pub stuff such as pies scotch egg chips etc. We didn't eat there but the food... More

A perfect pub tucked away in bustling Hong Kong. Had a couple different pours and both were excellent. Stoked: extensive craft selection in bottles, quick service and wide variety of beer styles on draft. And the urinals have football goals to aim at... that's rad. Bummed: not much, but it can be tricky to find.

Great atmosphere, friendly folks. Really nice source of Hong Kong beers. Wait staff was even nice enough to give me a sample of the Oh Bacon! to make sure I liked it before getting a pint.

If visiting Hong Kong and you have tasted traditional pub grub before, you will find no better place than the GLOBE. Perhaps not the most easiest place to find off the mid levels escalators , but seek this place out and you will not be disappointed. Good choice of beers, friendly unhurried service.

Staff are friendly and attentive, from beginning to the end. We had lunch here, the roast, Wow was amazing!! We were a group of four and our meals all came out together. We have also come other times to watch the Rugby and have booked the couch area if we have a group of 10 to 15 people. Thanks the... More

There is a tradition in Britain of going out on a Sunday, often when hungover, for a Sunday lunch in a pub. It's a famous, much loved way of spending a Sunday afternoon with friends or family. Regrettably, it's almost always disappointing, even at places famed for it: they're never nearly as good as the home-cooked meal you really crave.... More

Empty when I sat down but nearly every table was reserved so sat in little area at the back. Was told pies take 30 minutes, which implies cooked fresh so had beef, ale and mushroom pie which was nice but meat could have been more tender, lots of pastry though, perhaps too much versus filling. If it's fresh cooked maybe... More

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
