Tao Heung is a chain restaurant and well established. It serves dim sum for morning tea and lunch and dinner at night. I must say the dim sum here is quite good compared to many other local Chinese restaurants. My favorite dish is the roasted goose. Service is so and so because there is shortage of manpower at the servicing... More

I am quite disappointed there food quality of this restaurant. It look like a Chinese fast food shop. No matter you are great friend of Chinese food. This restaurant is not recommended.

What we loved best were the Soup Dumplings, took 2 rounds of these. Simple Dim Sum were bundled with special dishes so that we could try out new dishes.

We really enjoyed our visit. The staff was friendly even though we didn't understand each other. The hostess was very thoughtful and came back to bring us a menu with numbered pictures and their corresponding description in English without having to ask for it. Food definitely didn't disappoint. We followed other diners who seemed quite "at-home" with the place and... More

This is your traditional Chinese restaurant where service is not what keeps them in business. I guess, it's the dining experience that's worth checking out and some of the food. We stayed in TST, and our hotel was only a few blocks away. This was the only restaurant in the area that was open before 11 AM for dim sum... More

We visited this restaurant on our first night in Hong Kong and the experience was not good. The staff were extremely rude, they ignored us to the point we had to follow them around the restaurant to ask for food and drinks. The food was OK but it's difficult to say anything good about something which is basically thrown at... More

I can say that I like to go to this restaurant every time when I visited to hongkong. All dim sum are nice, fresh and taste so great. Especially Ha-Gow (shrimp dumpling). If you have a time to visit this restaurant please come by and try. It's worth to try. The branch I visited is in tsim she tsui.

Tao Heung is considered an institution in Hong Kong because it opened many years ago serving traditional dimsums and other cantonese dishes. Try their various dimsum and the fried pigeon as well! It was very yummy!

We ordered 7 items which cos us approx. HKD175/- which is quite the reasonable price. Dim Sum (yum cha) is a HK culture so to experience the local food culture, having dim sum is ddfinitely a must do. The dim sum in this restaurant is pretty good and there's a lot more different variety to choose from. Good to go... More

I have here so often that it has become my canteen. Then I realised that I have written reviews of every other restaurant....except my own canteen. Tao Heung is a great family restaurant. They open as early as 7am to cater to the breakfast crowd for yum-cha and as late as 11pm where you can have your dinner (very reasonable... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
