I didn't have the energy to head out for dim sum so I decided to have breakfast at the hotel. The Grand Cafe has a nice vibe and was bustling with people. Plenty of staff around and a decent sized menu. My husband and I opted for the Chinese breakfast set at 300 HKD, very pricey for breakfast but its... More

I finally had a chance to have lunch at the recently remodeled Grand Café and what a treat it was. The atmosphere was very luxurious (despite the fact I was wearing jeans and flip flops) and the service was outstanding. The food was really good and very reasonably priced. I look forward to my next lunch at the Grand Café.

This is the usual breakfast joint. They have both alacarte as well as a buffet breakfast. Gets quite crowded in the mornings and the layout is quite inconvenient for buffet because or the layout and multi levels

A popular place to meet and eat in Hong Kong. The modernisation seems to have made it all the more crowded and noisy. Good food and service though.

The first thing you notice when you walk in is that it is a lovely space- tall, light and would have a great view if not for the massive building site that seems to surround the Grand Hyatt at the moment. However, the sound proofing is great. So my son enjoys watching the digger that is 5m away throughout breakfast... More

We ate several meals at the Grand Cafe because of the convenience but most importantly, there was good variety to please the different palates in my family and the quality of the food was great. Our first night we were all tired from jet lag so we ordered take out burgers with truffle fries - OMG! Who knew french fries... More

On a free Sunday in HK and what seemed the entire population going to the racetrack for the day, I took the opportunity to have a quiet client lunch within the Hyatt in their recently renovated ground floor dining. It is a very smart ,stylish and welcoming property. The staff as usual are phenomenal. Variety is offered between Asian and... More

A fellow South African invited me for lunch at this venue. It was an absolute pleasure because of the aesthetics, the vibe and the cuisine on offer. This place seems very popular with the old school businessman. It was a new experience for me to be in such good company. The food was delicious and the waiters had just the... More

I have been a regular here for about 25 years, but only the first time for lunch after the renovation. The ambience has improved for sure and the environment more pleasant. However, the menu has become much more limited and the selection is simply unattractive compared to similar class coffee shops in Hong Kong. The food itself is quite good,... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
