Use to be my favorite brand, in the airport , better get that kind of food than fast food, today the restaurant was surprisingly empty, at 9pm, food seems to be a bit different, lower quality, but the service it's just simply insulting, with a manager having a such bad attitude , and keep rice and miso outside while waiting... Ate at the HK airport Saboten yesterday. Curry sauce incredibly salty, a hilariously small amount of cabbage and both my chicken katsu and my wife's loin katsu cooked in oil that had clearly been used one too many times. Moreover the loin katsu was a 50:50 ratio of meat versus fat and gristle. Finally the rice was a cheaper version... More

I ate here two times while on an asia business trip. the meal is very, very good - high quality and reasonable (i think around 130-140 HHKD for the set course - which includes soup, rice/noodles, pickles). there are bottled soft drinks, water, or beer - and the entire food court is staffed with friendly helpers to carry your tray... Service was slow, had to wait for almost 20mins before food is ready. Serving is ok for one person but expected better tasting tonkatsu.

The pork cutlet is a must try...soft and tender and the mixture between pork and egg aroma is just wonderful

A very popular joint in HK airport...try to visit this place everytime we transit thru or after check in. The Tonkatsu is excellent. Go for the classic tenderloin rather than some other prawn variation... they also serve Asahi on tap!. Can't have deep fried food without a super cold beer!

Needing a meal before our overnight flight, we followed the 'rave reviews ' of this restaurant and were not disappointed. It's the first time my wife and I have eaten this Japanese-style food and we really enjoyed it. We would echo all the positive reviews of this of this 'fast food' outlet. Every meal was freshly cooked to order and... More

Saboten Hong Kong is located at the HK International Airport. It serves mostly japanese fried food known as Katsu. I had katsudon which has pork katse, egg and rice, together with Evian water. Food is very Japanese and very tasty. Most important service is very fast and reasonably cheap.

There are many places to have a bite at Hong Kong airport, but there is only one that realy serves tasty fresh food. Here you get crispy battered pork and shrimp with miso soup. The food is prepared fresh and the set menue covers it all. Only the beer you have to get from a draft beer machine left to... More

I had a fried chicken set with rice, pickels and miso soup, with around HKD 100, good hot meal before the flight.
