Great to have no corkage - happy atmosphere in quirky cute place - fresh bread good - African chicken dish very good - fish dish fresh but less than average overall with overly sweet tomato ragout and deep fried chips supermarket style with tomato sauce suggesting shortcuts - would not recommend for cuisine overall but an ok experience - try... You access this" restaurant" on the first floor of an old building and when coming out of the small elevator, you arrive at a small lift lobby and need to look for this "restaurant" located next to other small business. The place is decorated with cheap vases and other old objects probably purchased in a flea market or other similar.... More

Located next to a trendy part of Wanchai. The doorman will open the gate for you if you tell him you are dining at this restaurant. The owner is ever present to ensure the quality of service and food. It serves Portuguese/French cuisine. The suckling pig and the seasonal giant clams are recommended. No corkage fee for wines is also... More

Private Kitchen. Loved a dinner here we had recently for a friends' birthday. They have a nice private room which can fit around 12-14 comfortably. They have French and Portuguese options on the menu (African chicken and Sucking pig were great, and I lose Serradura desserts). No corkage for wines either.

The vibe of the restaurant and the service together make you feel like in a fine western restaurant. But the food doesn't live up to expectations - it is okay, but not great. Considering the wide range of choices of food in the neighbourhood (no matter of western or oriental), this restaurant doesn't really stand out. Can go there for... More

Had a fantastic celebration here last night with a small group. The food was excellent - definitely a chef who knows how to cook French style. And the service, despite being very busy, was still attentive, friendly and warm. We booked in advance and bought our own champagne - which meant we could spend all our money on trying lots... More

Previously looking at the reviews, had mixed expectations. But the better ones look more genuine, therefore booked with friends to spent our boxing day. Upon arrival, the environment is warm and homely, and its very tidy and clean. Greeted by the friendly waiter, we all sat and ordered their set menu. First, the bread was breath taking freshly baked and... More

Great service and lovely staff and sadly that is where the good points end. The restaurant feels a bit dusty and tired in need of a far lift. I took my girlfriend here for her Birthday and I realised as soon as the started arrived I had made a bad choice. The chef is very clearly Chinese and has evidently... More

The service was excellent, with the owner being personable and attentive. Wait staff were not intrusive, but were continually able to keep up with the needs of a large party. The courses of food were all excellent, with the owner providing commentary. I also tasted the best desert I have ever had! This restaurant is gold in an area you... More

The service here was nice and polite. We ordered the set menu which seemed good value. The rib-eye steak was delicious but I couldn't eat the potatoes, they were soggy, seemed to have been days old and microwave heated. The rest of my meal was average. If this were much cheaper we would have given it three stars but given... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
