We were staying at the Lan Kwai Fong Hotel so decided to try out this restaurant. It was our first visit to a Michelin Star restaurant - the food was very, very good but also very, very pricey. The whole experience was let down by the poor service and the restaurant itself. As we were staying at the hotel, we... More

This Cantonese restaurant is located in Lan Kwai Fong Hotel, Kau U Fong, Central. The hotel is really small and when entering the entrance there is a tiny reception counter and we went straight to the lift to go to the first floor. And like the lobby the restaurant is not big, with only a few tables on a L-shaped... More

We were staying in the Lan Kwai Fong Hotel without knowing there was a 1 Michelin Star restaurant on the 2nd floor. Reserved a table for my group and had a great time. We didn't go all out to order the seafood which would have cost a bomb. So we order the more traditional chinese dishes and they turned out... More

Had family lunch and ordered some special dishes as well as a few dishes of dim sum. As usual, superb cooking and excellent service but also expensive but worth it ( although one needs to know what is good here but the manager is always helpful ). Highly recommended.

Celebrity Cuisine, a tiny high class cantonese restaurants (7 tables total) locates in Central district is certainly a well known name in grommet industry. It has receved michelin 2 stars award since 2011. We decided to go for their executive set lunch for a try out. It comes with 1 soup, 4 dishes, and 1 dessert. I would like to... More

Had high expectations as my fellow travellers recommended it however it feels like a restaurant which may have its best times (Michelin stars) in the past . Each tiny dish was £18-20, a local beer was £8 (from a can). Some tasty bits but not worth the money. No atmosphere or buzz. However service was attentive, and I think they... More

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday evening, we booked weeks in advance thinking it would be busy. What a disappointing meal on our first night in HK there was no ambiance at all apart from a TV in the background, there were some other guests at another table wearing track suits ( I always thought that there was a... I dare any Michelin inspector to walk into Celebrity Hong Kong and claim its a two star Michelin restaurant. I cannot understand how Celebrity is even mentioned in any Michelin guide because it is more like a Laundromat! On their restaurant website they show this dinning room with plush purple upholstered walls and luxury seating, but just the opposite is... More

I stayed in the hotel (enjoyed) and looked forward to the restaurant. Being a Michelin two star restaurant, I was expecting a different atmosphere and experience. The service was ok, nothing notable. The food was unfortunately average and not what I would have expected from a two star restaurant. I might have gone on an off night, but was not... More

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
