Happy veggies is the nicest Chinese veggie restaurant in Hong Kong. The food is amazing and the staff are so nice! It's a social empowerment project as well so while your stomach feels the joy one typically associates with saving a life, winning the lottery or saying I do, your heart can be happy too! ☺

I ate after 230pm hence got good price for $40 with 3 choices of food and free refill rice. The set comes with warm herbal tea. Recommended.

Stopped by for lunch, which comes as a set -- three veggies (from a choice of six), plus rice, broth, and a glass of water. If you like your vegetables "au naturel," then you'll love this place. Very little spice to be found; thus my disappointment. A bit like vegetarian hospital food.

A real veggie Chinese lunch experience. Basic but excellent tasty and satisfying vegetarian. Excellent value. Seating a bit tight.

Girlfriend is a veggie so I was dragged along for a quick bite on boxing day. The veggie dim sum was great as was were the veggie style Singapore noodle. Great staff and it nice to see a non-profit restaurant in HK. Pretty inexpensive

We were wondering around looking for somewhere good to eat and I looked on TripAdvisor and found Happy Veggies. The food was very good and served in a few minutes. We were served buy a smiley older lady who was deaf and yet communicated perfectly with us. Huge portions so don't over order.

I visited here a few times and enjoyed it - though it is important to point out that it has completely different concepts for its lunch time and evening sittings. During lunch time, you stand in queue and choose from a pre-set menu at a set price, by choosing dishes A, B, C etc from a display stand and marking... More

My friend, a vegetarian expat who lives in Hong Kong took me to this place. I'm not a vegetarian myself but was very impressed with the food and service especially felt grateful to support the charitable cause at this restaurant. The waitresses had hearing disability but they made every effort to communicate and cater to your needs. The sauteed eggplant... More

I found this place with trip advisor and went during lunch time as it was opening. There is a set lunch with 6 options to choose from, and it comes with an added soup, bowl of rice, and glass of water for 48 HKD. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The place does start to fill up quickly, but... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
