The Pampas Argentinian Steak House is located in Elgin Street in the Soho district at the top of the mid-levels escalator so easy access from Central MTR. Having eaten in restaurants in Buenos Aires we were keen to relive the experience and it did not disappoint. The restaurant menu offers a range of typical Argentinian dishes, especially very good quality... More

Like the ambience of the restaurant with its hanging lamps. An inner area for private functions/dinings. Understand the quality of the steaks are excellent but as we were there for quick bite we had the set lunches. Sirloin steak for me n Salmon for my missus, portions were good, nice mix of veggies, overall good. Chocolate Dessert served in a... More

Well it's obvious that competition is huge in hong kong for restaurant and particularly in this part of town... Not everything is good, but if you don't stand out it must be difficult to survive... this place is a great example of a surviving one! Nice service, great area... but food MUST be better than this and wine selection a... More

After they mixed up our orders (medium vs medium rare in different sizes of steak) , which is not an issue. We asked the waiter what we should do now. What he did was unbelievable! He cut a slice from the bigger one put it on my plate and said, so now you have a bigger one which is medium... More

The dinner I ordered was very good, and rated highly. However, my companion diner ordered a steak which was under size from the menu and over cooked, and did not meet the standard normally associated with this restaurant. My companion dines in this restaurant regularly and the manner in which his complaint was dealt with left something to be desired.

If you like beef meat, it is a place to be and enjoy some music. Chocolat mousse was to heavy. Good service.

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
