This place may be heaven for those who have food allergies...or not it's still really good! My friend started out with Mary's kind of juice cleanse, which was basically a bloody mary with Sriracha and other juices...it was to die for. We shared the popcorn chicken, and that met the expectations that I gathered from the other comments, so yummy... More

We took a visiting vegetarian friend to this restaurant and had a pleasant, if rather pricey, meal. Pros: imaginative menu - lots of different vegetarian / vegan options, including desserts. Generally pretty interesting flavours, a good range of ingredients and filling mains. The restaurant is also very attractively decorated and lit, and we were seated in a very comfortable corner... First impressions of the ambience is open, spacious, fresh and passionate. Next comes the delicious aroma of vegetables spices and life giving foods. The service and quality could not be improved. I highly recommend this wonderful place to eat in Hong Kong.

Visited this cute café which is located near the Cat Street Market and Man Mo Temple on Hong Kong Island. The interiors are fresh, green and soothing. The host helped us with what to order for our meals- we opted for Poached Eggs with Avocado and Chickpea Miso Ramen- the water served had vanilla and mint flavour (a very different... More

I loved already the small restaurant in SYP which she had before. The "new one" is also offering great and healthy food. Also the juices and smoothies are great and always freshly made. Maybe the menus can be changed more often?! Only the service should be improved!

We ordered some curry and when it arrived i complained because i thought that it had meat in it. Apparently this mushroom has the texture of beef! This was my favorite restaurant in HK because of the innovative blend of eastern and western cuisine with a very healthy ingredient list.

You won't likely find a better eatery for vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free in Hong Kong. Located near the Cat Street Market and Man Mo Temple on Hong Kong Island, this is a cute little stop with tasty, creative and well presented dishes.

I went on a business trip with my bosses and we decided to dine at this restaurant because of referrals and great pics on IG. We ordered a lot of food from starters to desserts. The presentation is amazing and beautiful and the use of ingredients are intriguing, but flavor is lacking. Maybe because it's vegetarian, but still the flavor... More

Really enjoyed the veggie meal at Grassroots with my family. Its current site is apparently new. I liked its interior decor. It's very chic and spacious. The lighting was such that it was light enough to see what you're eating but not blinding. The menu was full of wonderful offerings..it was hard to choose. We ordered almost one of everything... Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
