Food is pretty but not as tasty. Lobster bisque not even hot and the risotto was watery. Best item is the coffee. Our waitress interrupted our conversation to announce dessert of the day. Wish she could wait a few seconds

Good food and great atmosphere. Place is centrally located and plenty of options for the main course in the set lunch menu.

L place fills with many restaurants, it can be difficult to make your choices where to go for dinning. We went there by chance and had lunch there. We were arranged at the street view open view, pleasant :) and we love its clean and sophisticated interior design too in the crowded location. Then, we were having nice recommendations.. pretty... I was disappointed the first time I visited L'Altro, long time ago. Not this time. Splendid service, fantastic the Lobster soup, and wagyu beef cheek. We shall go back

This is the second time I have dined at the restaurant. We had lunch - the restaurant was relatively quiet. Portion sizes are small so it wasn't too heavy. I had the pork for the main which as good / my colleagues had pasta. Efficient service.

L'altro has great selection of wine. modern and cozy environment. Refined presentation of the food and more important, delicious. One of the best Italian cuisine in town. Portion is in appropriate size. We enjoyed a nice quiet private dinner.

A well known restaurant in town attracted me to have a try -- smart choice ... Restaurant cozy with neat and simple decoration, glass wall kitchen shows the concentration and focus of chefs , welcoming staffs provide a nice service, price deserved, creative dishes with quality food, nothing can be complain.

Food is excellent , especially the truffle menu. Pasta portion seems a little bit small, if for share is not really enough . But we want to try more different food that's why don't want to order 2 order

The restaurant is located at the L'Place in Central. That building has a lot of restaurants so during the lunch hour rush, there is a long queue for the elevators. Do not be disheartened as the line moves very quickly. Once you are at the restaurant, the tables are spaced quite far apart so it is great for business lunches.... More

Terribly disappointed! I had dinner twice before with groups of 10 people. Fabulous dinner in 2014 and early 2015. I hosted lunch on 29th September for friends / colleagues, 5 in total and had told them all about L'altro based on my previous experience. However, what a mistake. The food was awful. Soup with langostine and beef cheek (main) was... More

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
