I booked a table a week ago and the restaurant called on Friday morning to reconfirm. When I reached at the assigned time, not only was the table not Aba Ila les, the manager was full of attitude! My guest and I were made to wait for 40 minutes at a service counter stacked with trays and bustling staff, with... More

Tokio Joes is a great spot in LKF. It's been here for over a decade and consistently delivers. Their bento boxes for lunch are excellent. Try their delux bento box... best in town! Dinner is a little expensive but great atmosphere. Must try the spicy tuna crunch.

One of the best all round restaurants in Hong Kong. Food is very high quality and the service is exceptional. Situated in Lan Kwai Fong, this is a perfect place to take visitors, there are so many good options on the menu, it is hard to recommend anything in particular. The sake is great too, you will leave feeling extremely... More

A small place with great food. Fresh sushi, yummy miso soup and nice green Japanese tea! A bit pricey (around €45 each person) but it's HK... what would you expect?

Good sushi sashimi, unagi, yellow tail recommended but a little pricey considering its pretty run of the mill stuff and not exclusive. Still recommended though.

Tokio Joe’s simple décor and friendly staff provide a relaxed and casual alternative to formal Japanese dining. Interior space is highlighted by wooden paper screens, natural wood and open sushi bar giving an airy feel. The ‘user friendly’ menu features traditional favourites and innovative creations with anemphasis on fresh sushi and sashimi. A must try are Joe’s Soft Shell Crab Rolls and deliciously fresh Spicy Toro Tartar.

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
