Good local atmosphere and very authentic cuisine. Be prepared to share a table with the locals and if you like me find chopsticks really difficult forks can be provided on request. The dim sum are fantastic and have to be eaten so that the juice in them is not spilled. I don't think the UK ones have any juice in... More

Basic eatery, very local and a great place for no frills food. The noodles were freshly pulled-- terrific consistency. Loved their 'say Kwai dow' green beans n minced pork combo. Possibly the best I have had in HK. Good dim sum too. The crunchy coated peanut starters are terrific and are complimentary. Absolute must do.

This location is just a few minutes walk from Wong Tai Sin MTR station and does not charge service charge (whereas the other similar name one in Whampoa--Hung Hom area does). This place is unassuming, not as fancy, price is reasonable. Best time to come is off hours to avoid long queue. Came here on on a rainy weekday around... More

We go here mainly for the Sichuan Dang Dang noodles (spicy peanut sauce) The noodle is good, very smooth and soft. Other dishes we ordered are mainly shanghai style but it is not delicious. It is just OK and probably u can get much better Shanghai or Sichuan dinning or dishes elsewhere in Hong Kong

Always visit this noodle shop, only because it serves great sze chuan noodle near my home. Recommend to try "modified version of tam tam noodle - spicy", "dou fu" (esp. Considering the price , serving size & quality) & the "5 hang beef chin" (quite pricy but tastes super nice). For the others I have tried such as "Normal tam... More

If you are looking for delicious spicy food and a local atmosphere that is still easy to navigate without speaking Cantonese, Wing Lai is the best place. The dumplings, fried green beans with pork and dan dan noodles were mouth-watering delicious and the service was very friendly and helpful. The prices are also very reasonable.

we regularly visit Chinese and shanghainese restuarant in town including Ding Tai Fung. However, this old restaurant located in the old part of Kowloon is really the best. Their dish is authentic and reasonable price (big dish as well). You could also try their modified Dan Dan noodles. Or their cold dishes. There were 2 of us and we ordered... More

Wow! The Dan Dan noodles were delicious, and the soup was perfect for dipping the dumplings. It's an unassuming little place, but the noodles were quite delicious after a long morning of walking. This was one of my favorite restaurant meals in China or Hong Kong!

My spouse and family remember eating here as children, when it was in a different location. We recently were in HK for a visit, and had to go here to see if it was as good as remembered; YES. The place is not very big, not well appointed, but that is not why you would go here. The dan dan... More
