Last orders an hour before closing time, pricey, forced to order and pay for tea. You also really have to take your time to go there, it's about 15-20 minutes from central and admiralty. Not a fan

This tea house is in the Hong Kong Park, easy to get to, and such a beautiful location. A little walk in the park, followed by Dim Sum in the Tea House, is a lovely interlude to the hectic life around Central! The building looks very old, beautiful wooden floors, nice shutters on the windows, nice furniture. They have a... More

After reading all of the positive reviews, my friend and I were excited to visit this place. However, we left extremely disappointed. After we were seated and given menus, we were completely ignored by multiple members of the wait staff. One waiter even served the table right next to us while facing us and pointedly ignored us even though we... More

We really wanted to try tea and dim sum whilst in Hong Kong but being vegetarian we found this very challenging. We were best excited to find this place and were not disappointed! We had read some reviews that advised pre-booking but we went on a weekday just after this lunchtime rush (1ish) and sat straight down without a reservation.... More

We were all very happy in finding this teahouse in a beautiful location right inside Hong Kong park. We made reservations online. Everything we ordered was delicious ,very fresh and tasty. There are many Tea selections.... More

As a Chinese that having "yum cha" every Sunday, it's a shame that I have to say the tea I had at Lock Cha was the first PROPER tea I ever had, so good!!! I'd rate 5 star for their tea and service, but 3/5 for their food. Do tell the waiters what type of tea/flavour you prefer, or even... More

Stopped here for lunch on recommendation of a friend. Great tea selection (there's a lot) - I had the rose tea and my wife green tea, both enjoyed. Menu is veggie dim sum, which was a welcome change from the places we had been lunching in. Nice dumplings, spring rolls etc, did feel a bit different to the standard HK... More

I had the steamed mushroom vegetables, mixed mushrooms shaped mai and steamed vegetables which were all excellent. I would definitely recommend this place!

The food here was absolutely amazing! Such a great range, which tasted so so good! And it was all veggie, which was a plus because I could choose anything off the menu. Excellent service, friendly staff. Thank you! If I ever come back to HK, I'll definitely be back. :)

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
