Covid-19 has deterred me for going out to restaurants for a few months. Gong to Hana Sakazuki is safe as sitting inside a 4-person private teppanyaki room with is super. I like the style of the Teppanyaki chef as well as the presentation. The quality...of the sea food and thin sliced beef are the best.More

Came by for a quick business lunch. Lunch sets ranging from HK150 to 350, quite friendly to the wallet. Anything significantly more expensive may not be worth it considering the food quality, service and ambience

Had been there today. Ordered one of the "full tepanyaki course" (890HKD) options. Find price too high for a regular food. Total was 2.333HKD (about 360usd) for two persons with only one drink (half bottle of sake [350HKD]). The course includes small starter, "sea things",...meat, rice, vegetable and an small piece of cheese-cake. Service: 4/5 Place: 3/5 Food: 3/5 Pice/Food: 2/5More

Hana Sakazuki Japanese Restaurant is a very famous Japanese restaurant in Hong Kong. The floor is nasty and sticky! Service is appalling! Servers are neither friendly nor professional! One of them even argued loudly with the chef in front of the guests… The prices are...definitely at fine dining level, but quality of the food is only average at best.More

Hana Sakazuki used to be one of the top teppanyaki restaurants in Hong Kong, along with Matsubishi. Sadly, Hana Sakazuki has moved away from teppanyaki and become a sushi bar/Japanese restaurant. Ironically, the sushi bar was filled with mostly empty seats, while the teppanyaki area...was busy. The main reason that I will not return is that the only teppanyaki area not only has to cook for the patrons sitting, but also fulfilling the teppanyaki area for the whole restaurant. This is simply unacceptable. The restaurant should have set up a different teppanyaki area in the kitchen, especially there seems to be nonstop teppanyaki order from the general area. Despite being seated in the Teppanyaki area with our whole party taking over that area, both teppanyaki chefs were cooking nonstop for the general patrons. We sitting at the table were served last. While the food was not bad, the arrangement was unacceptable especially for a restaurant with this calibre. To make the unpleasant situation worst, one of the servers decided to argue with the teppanyaki chef over an order. I felt bad for the host, who was embarrassed over this incident. This really ruined the atmosphere for the dinner with one of the chefs basically in a foul mood. Thankfully the other chef was more cheerful and engaging. In conclusion, I don't recommend Hana Sakazuki, and if you want teppanyaki, please just go to Matsubishi Japanese Restaurant or Teppan Room in Grand Hyatt.More

What a nice place to go when you can't decide what type of Japanese food you want as they excel in both sushi and teppanyaki. Suggest going with one of theirTeppanyaki sets which take the thinking of what to have out of equation. The seafood...is super fresh and the beef was melt in your mouth. If you're prefer sushi and sashimi, sit at the counter and have the Omakase, you won't be disappointed with the freshest fish from Japan. Their Sake collection is also quite extensive and of course all these wonderful food come at a price! Well worth it though.More

This was our company Christmas / Year End lunch. Amazing beef, really tasty giant prawns, and fresh abalone. Best teppanyaki I have had for a long time. Best of all, company paid!

Servings are generous if you are a small eater. 3 of us ladies shared 2 sets. We had salad, miso soup, US beef cubes, Iberico pork cubes, 1 king prawn, 1 giant scallop, 1 live abalone, bean sprouts, fried rice, dessert plus coffee and tea....The assistant teppanyaki chef, Kelvin, taught us how best to enjoy the food and divided the portions for us based on our preferences and desired portions. The red meats were thoughtfully served on a piece of bread to soak up all the excess oil. Even though we ordered only 2 sets, we were served 3 portions of salad and dessert. I'm very impressed with the level of service I received. The meats were cooked just right, preserving its natural flavours. I will definitely be returning again on my next trip!More

Went there to mark the conclusion of 2017 with two other friends. The lunch menu was good enough to choose. The eel was extremely good because it was prepared in teppanyaki before it was served with rice. The sashimi set was fresh. A very reasonable...price and a good place for business lunch.More
