This was one of my priorities to try out, noodles in sauce. Went here on a Sunday afternoon to avoid the crowd, and ordered instant noodles with satay sauce, and two other snacks to go with it: fried tofu skin and fish rolls with abalone...filling. Also ordered two more snacks to go with it, spicy egg and bean curd fish roll. The spicy egg turned out to be fried egg with curry powder, and the crunchy beancurd skin with fish meat was crispy and tasty. The noodle was my favourite too, with lots of satay sauce, but next time I think thin noodles would taste better, as the instant noodles have a slight sweet taste to it. When I was served by drink, I was amazed at the plastic glass cup, it was so clean it looked like brand new, the sides of the glass was shiny, and it was so clean, that droplets could form on the side of the glass shown on the picture.More

I had dinner at this restaurant and had an interesting experience. The food was good but the server didn't let me choose my meal. I don't think she spoke much English and just pointed at things and started writing them down and brought it to...me. It was fine but would have been nice to decide myself.More

Loved this place. Crowded, local, but super friendly to non-locals. Yummy noodles and soup. Our kids loved it!

Was introduced to this place to try out the local fare and it was a pleasant surprise. It is one of the go-to lunch places for takeaway in the busy Central business district with good quality food at cheap prices for Central (30-50 HKD). It...basically is a mix-and-match place with the noodle+sauce as the main draw. You can mix a variety of meats, fishballs, and vegetables to create your own dish. They are also famous for the pork chop buns (a Macao staple) which are equally as delicious and their specialty. Give it a try as this is on the way to SOHO and you won't be disappointed with the taste and overall authenticity. They also now have an English menu so you won't feel overwhelmed with the hustle and bustle of the crowds during lunch time.More

This hole in the wall is what we need more of. Great authentic local food and tourist friendly staffs. Everything in the menu was in Chinese but the girl who shared the table with me ordered what she recommended for me. A staff later on...confirmed my order in English, what a great surprise! The food was excellent and the portion is perfect... not too big or too small. I'd certainly recommend this place to any Cantonese food lovers.More

So I was feeling hungry on a Saturday night (ard 10+pm) and decided to check out the neighbourhood (Central area). Almost all the eateries are closed except for Chopsticks Kee on Wellington St. Staff saw that I was a tourist and offered to help me...w the food order. U basically have to choose the type of noodle and 3 sides to go with it. This plus a drink cost 36 bucks. Very value for money in my opinion. Quick facts: - open till late. Only eatery still open past 10pm on Wellington St. - small dine in area. Good for takeout. Bad for family w kids. - set meal w drink cost 36 hkdMore

From time to time I eat at Chopstick Kee when I'm in Central alone and want to have a quick meal. The place is famous for noodles in sauce with toppings. There're about 6 sauces and 20 toppings to choose from. I particularly like the...onion sauce, the chicken wings and spicy fish balls. I went there again tonight. A plate of noodles with 4 toppings and a drink only costed HK$41. What a bargain!More

I have read about cart noodles, but it was only recently that I had my first bowl in Hong Kong. We chose Chopsticks Kee from a list of 'Hong Kong's Best Cart Noodles" published in hk-magazine.com. I was attracted to the Sichuan-spiced pork neck slices...which was highlighted in the article. As this was our first bowl of cart noodles, I was clueless on what to order so my wife asked for recommendation. The person who served us, chose our toppings which I delightful agree, although I forgot to ask him to include offal for my portion. The spicy pork neck slices were not that spicy after all. Note that I have a huge tolerance towards spicy food. Wife asked for medium level of spiciness for her soup while mine came without chili. However, chili oil is provided at every table so you could add as much as you want, to your liking. Food is not expensive here and the portion was huge that I was struggling to finish up my bowl. Worth trying especially for first timers.More
