We went to this restaurant in a group one evening the visit including a Tibetan meal and show. At best the meal was average. There were quite a few (mostly vegetable) dishes to choose from but some were cold and none of them had any indication of what they contained. The Tibetan show itself was not very good. A young... Also known as The Crazy Yak. The buffet was mediocre. Two at our table liked the lamb lungs. The butter tea was unusual, worth trying. The barley beer was tasty. The entertainment was amateurish and EXTREMELY loud. Our guide had seemingly spoken to them in the past about complaints from his clients about how loud the music was. I watched... More

Promised a fun and cultural evening our expectations were quickly lowered. The food was okay with everyone making a mad dash to the buffet before the show. Tables are crowded with one side facing completely ruined away from the show and little room to comfortabl turn around. My chair was in the way of a door opening to another room.... More

The worse food and show we had during our trip to Tibet. Do yourself a favor, even if your tour includes a dinner at this restaurant, go someplace else. It is not worth.

We arrange all our tour group to Crazy yak restaurant for Evening show with Tibetan buffet dinner. Because, Crazy yak is only one restaurant who serve buffet dinner with Tibetan Culture show in Lhasa now. Also, it's service goes very well from last few years. But, this year, we received many complaint from our previous group. So, I went my... More

Our tour group attended the culture show & dinner for about $30. Per person. Rip off! The food was awful, quite greasy as everything was doused in yak butter. The talentless show was pathetic. A group of dancers that obviously hate what they are doing. I have fancier steps in my Zumba class. They come out with what looks like... More

It's as all the other reviews say, the food is buffet style but average compared to other dinner/show we've seen on our trip. The only plus is that we were able to try butter tea and barley beer, which we had not been able to try yet. The dancers' costumes were beautiful and we were glad to be able to... More

We visited the Crazy Yak on the last night of our time in TIbet with a tour group. The buffet was not very good and didn't provide anything unique that you couldn't find in any other restaurant in Tibet or China. Some of the dishes were so spicy that many in the tour group couldn't even eat it. It's a... More

This placed is situated in the centre of the old city, the views are good, as it is high up....however, the service is awful, everyone got the food at different times, and some did not get any!

we went there with a group of travelers, the food are good as they have both Tibetan and Chinese buffer, after the dinner they arranged about 10 to 15 minutes Tibetan cultural performance by a group of Tibetan singers and dancers.
