Only the Ribs

Paid a return visit for the ribs. Still excellent! Succulent, juicy, tender, tasty! Other family members had other meat dishes and they were not good at all. Tasteless and hard.

Good ribs but some meats are hard

We ordered bucket of ribs with platter of rice and we only realised that it’s too much for two pax when the food arrived. The staff couldn’t really explain the difference between half rack and full rack so we end up ordering one bucket. Service is bad but ribs sauce was really good. We can tell it’s homemade bbq sauce, however some of the meat served were not tender and difficult to eat. Consistency isn’t there. Cheap food but crap service. The rapsberry ice tea was too sugary.

Food is Great, price is reasonable, but service is soooo bad

Their ribs are still the best in town. Price is very reasonable. Service is soooo bad. Service crew are noisier than the customers. When you call their attention, if they are not the crew assigned to your area they won't bother to acknowledge you. Would have given high marks for the food and price, but the service will annoy you big time.

Terribly Disappointed

Meat was nothing fresh,too hard to chew.Drinks were ordinary and nothing fresh again, the syrup they use is old.We had concerns about their food but they did nothing to solve it. If the restaurant staff is not doing their job well, then there must be a problem with the management well.They dont have quality control with their food at all. What a petty, since they did not uphold their status as supposed to be one of the pioneer restaurant here in Cebu. Not worthy your money.Better read more blogs in fb to know more complaints. We are currently eating here now, and i wont recommend this place at all.

Disappointed!

Its my fist time to be serve with soft drinks without ice. And the worst part of it the soft drinks it self is not even cold. It happened on SM seaside branch.

Disappointing

I had read so many reviews that the Ribs 'were to die for.' 'so delicious,' 'melt in your mouth.' blah, blah, blah. Well, obviously those reviews were written by people who don't have a clue about what food should actually taste like. The Ribs that were presented to us were still half frozen, dry and had a few tablespoons of meat on them. They had obviously been cooked days before and stored in the refrigerator, and the staff were too lazy to even reheat them before serving them. Such a pathetic rip off. We also ordered Seafood Carbonara. Ppppfffttt! It was stone cold, with a skin on the cream sauce meaning that it had been stored on the plate in the permafrost of the refrigerator for an indeterminate amount of time and taken out and served without any attempt to warm/reheat it. As for the 'seafood' aspect, it comprised 3 pieces of squid and a lone, tiny little Shrimp - no, more like a lonely Krill, drowned in a sea of week-old cold and flavourless cream sauce. Animal cruelty at its finest. I ordered (and paid for) more Parmesan cheese just to give the dish some semblance of flavour and even then left most of it on the plate as it was cold, dry, and inedible. To be fair, the final dish we ordered was Calamries. It was actually cooked and was edible – well let’s face it, you can’t cook and freeze it like all the other dishes, so they actually had to cook SOMETHING for the money they charge. If you have any appreciation for food at all, don't go there - you will surely be disappointed. On the other hand, if you are not a discerning eater, Bon Appetit.

Rude Service Crews

Casa Verde is one of my fave resto in Manila. Good food, homey ambiance, and great service were their main selling points for me. Naturally, when in Cebu I was really excited to visit their flagship store. Excitement died down abruptly when I visited this branch. Crews were quite rude when I ask if there was an available table since no one was manning the reception area. So much for my excitement. Boo!

Spotted a mouse and the staff didn't care

This place is terrible. I don't understand where the great reviews come from. Our mistake, I suppose, for going to a place with American cuisine, but not even the mango shake tasted good. I think they used puree instead of fresh mangos. The Philippines has great tasting mangos, so I don't understand why they would do that. The ribs were okay, but the pork belly was literally a plate of fat. I understand this is a fatty dish, but I don't enjoy a plate of fat. There was barely any meat to eat...the meat I managed to cut out were about 1cm squares (about 6 of them). After we had paid for the meal, I saw a mouse run by the booth. I jumped out of my seat and my friend and I walked over to the entrance to wait for our change. The staff asked what it was and when I said it was a mouse, they just shrugged. Nice.

Good food

Me and my girlfriend have being there two times during our visit to Cebu. After couples days in Coron and El Nido we were happy to find this place. Food was good (I had a meat with mashed potatoes and tried a bacon and mushroom burger and my girlfriend had chicken fajitas on the second day). Very fair for what it offers and the price.

Ribs, Ribs and Ribs

I have been coming to Cebu for 34 years and never knew of this place till now.I was told that this restaurant served the best ribs so I had to try for myself. And I was not disappointed. Succulent, juicy, soft ribs....heaven! This has become one of my go to restaurants in Cebu. I will try their different outlet when I am back next.

Ribs is the best.Big serving and has a good taste,the price you paid is worth it. Good service and good place to eat. Highly recommended. I shall return next visit!!

Excellent Steak and a Awesome Establishment for eats!

After 15 days of being in Cebu City, I found the Casa Verde close to where I was staying. Went for lunch, first American food for awhile, was totally awesome Steak, Pork Belly and a great appetizer along with Milkshakes and Pineapple juice! Was full upon leaving! Everything was great. Service was excellent and very professional. Highly recommended and I will go back on next visit to Cebu City!!

Best Ribs in town!

If you want soft, juicy flavourful ribs, this is the place! we always order pretty much a whole rack each when we visit this place. super worth it!

Good lunch for a very hungry patron

Ribs are great, although the portions I got were more of the spine than the rib. Still, the portion size was still big. The potato soup is tasty and on the heavy side. The lettuce-based salad was a bit run-of-the-mill. They offer a very limited wine list (Australian). Service time was also commendable, and the staff were attentive. I arrived after the lunch rush and the place was still packed.
