Great food and service. Great selection and the quality is excellent. The staff were very helpful. This is my second visit and it’s just as good as the first visit.

Terrible and Disrespectful Experience After reading good reviews we decided to go there with family including child. We travelled from our hotel shangri la just to have the food here. Everywhere the opening timing mentioned was upto 10pm. We reached the restaurant at 9:20 pm...sharp and despite have empty seats they refused to serve us citing that its closing time and kitchen is closed. We requested many time and even spoke to the manager that we have travelled from another hotel with a child just for having dinner but they refused. In the end they offered to give takeaway but not dine in, couldn't understand if kitchen was closed they how would takeaway be possible and if kitchen was open why were were refused to be served despite having empty tables and reaching 40 mins before closing time May be they allow guests at their Mercy, patheticMore
We loved this restaurant. The food was delicious and very generous, the staff friendly, relaxed and helpful, and the atmosphere was perfect. It is conveniently located in the Mess Hall which is near Imbiah Station and several hotels. Definitely recommended.
We celebrated my husband’s bd at the restaurant because he loves Indian cuisine. The food was great and the recommendation was on point. What we didn’t expect was a huge bd card from the restaurant plus a table tent welcoming the bd boy to his...seat. This was excellent meal, in a lovely setting attended to by knowledgeable and courteous staff. The cottage cheese and spinach dish was in my opinion the best of the three main dishes, but they were all very good. Ravina explained the ingredients for each dish,...and genuinely made you feel relaxed and most welcome. Terrible experience. We arrived at the restaurant at 21.15 and was informed that they will be soon closing the order. When seated I have been asked by the waitress to order all food at once(even the dessert). Food arrived at around 9.40 and as soon...as the last plate was deposited on the table the waitress asked me to settle the bill!! This was the first time in my life that I’ve seen that. At 21.55 the same waitress switched off the lights of the bar, the music, as well as the a/c! She stayed watching at our table and we had the impression that we should leave our food and go because she needed to close the restaurant! What a shame for this restaurant with those kind of staff. We ate twice at this restaurant while staying with family on Sentosa in a nearby hotel. The second time was with a friend who wanted to go there. Neither time did we feel really welcomed. We did have young children with us, but other restaurants...in the “Mess” complex showed they cared and made that special effort. Royal Taj did not. Food was OK but again not great. Great decor made our visits better than they might have been, a real plus for Royal Taj. Overall, a good Indian restaurant but not great, nor as good as it should beMore
