Came for a Sunday brunch. Ordered the Quail, Green chili toast, and crab burger. The Quail came with a nice burnt waffle and the sauce accompanying was special - what seemed like charred maple syrup and mustard seeds. Made the waffle great. I felt that...the burger could come with a side to be more complete. The green chili was special although I think the sambal that came with it as a side sauce didn't really gel with the rest of the dish. Overall, service was great and I really enjoyed the meal. Keep it up!More

I would agree with the other reviewers saying that the restaurant is average at best; the standard is nowhere near other Michelin star restaurants. The food was the standard of your average British gastropub. The liver and waffle was nice, but nothing groundbreaking. The fried...chicken was nice, but nothing special. The fish in the fish and chips was nice - crisp batter and tender fish, but the rest of the dish was average - under seasoned and the chips were poor. The ribs were fine but very fatty. Pork was okay. The service was forgettable and the presentation of the dishes was nothing special. The corridor to the toilets smelt awful. For the price point it’s not worth a visit. Wouldn’t go back.More

Food was average and abit pricey for how simple they were served. Drinks were exorbitantly priced. Ambience was quite good.

My family have a very happy and satisfied Christmas dinner this year. Every dishes of Christmas dinner in the set menu tasted good with its special combination and value for money. The champagne and red wine are smooth too. The only feedback I have is...the volume of the songs from the speaker was too loud. The brightness and lighting in the restaurant are just nice where all my photos turned out good.More

My first visit to Cheek Bistro in October 2020 was a gourmet delight- as expected ! I was also bowled over by the service - a tad austere by very accomodating of my every whim - as I can be a chef’s nightmare because of...few dietary constraints! But I relished morsel on my plate - modified or as per the chef’s artistry.. I had baby corn; pate on waffle; smoked Japanese aubergine n braised cheek - i had to stop at these - promising myself a revisit to continue the gastronomic journey; and checking the wine list systematically🍷 Kudos to All!More

Food are delicious. Nice environment and good services. The only drawback is that the wines are too expensive.

Dined here for my partner’s birthday. The subpar service begins at the moment we entered the restaurant. There wasn’t anyone by the door, but there were pieces of paper of reservation notes on the small table. So my partner peeked to see if we were...on the list, this immediately caught the ire of the wait staff who came rushing to us and told us off for looking at ‘private’ items and snooping around. If it’s private, please don’t leave it lying around the front of house where anyone could have access to it. She was also annoyed to find out that we haven’t checked in to SafeEntry yet and wasn’t very friendly either when asking us to show our wrists for temperature taking. The rest of dinner passed without much fanfare until dessert. Birthday message and candle on the dessert wasn’t done on my partner’s order when I’ve called a week ahead and also left a note on the reservation for this to be arranged. It was a little awkward when the dessert arrived. We laughed it off nonetheless, but really, for the price and reputation, I’ve expected better attention to detail. Finally, at the end of our dinner, we didn’t mind either that they wanted to clear the table for second seating as they’ve done to rest of the guests, but there were no thank you and goodbyes. I guess the card was swiped and the transaction ends at that point. I don’t see wait staff attending to other tables either as we walked out. It was my partner’s first time back after the restaurant was rebranded to a more casual outfit and he noted the big difference in service standards. The food and wine was good and there were some interesting items on the menu that we enjoyed but not enough to offset the disappointment over the lukewarm hospitality that we received on a special night out.More

Best to check with the restaurant. Smart casuals should be fine.

It had its buzz for sure but tables are way too close to each other thus for a business lunch not sure it’s the right place. Otherwise it’s lovely food, staff and overall ambiance - sitting at the kitchen counter could be... More
