Food was of very bad quality at this price point. I could say its one of the worst buffet i ever had. Crayfish and lobsters are so rubbery and hard. Laksa soup tasted so bland like water w some seasonings? My bf is not a...picky eater, but even to him, the food was really bad.
The crab, was soooo dry and hard! Is the salted egg crab from previous nights? Spagetti was so soggy?
The cooked food, its like a copy of wanting to cook ma la xiang guo but failed? Tried the cheese and spicy version, both cannot make it.
Meat, was ok, not wowed.
Restaurant manager came and say it could be the supplier fault that the food was not fresh and of bad quality, but , dont the executive chef check? Or you serve the food at buffet knowing that its not fresh?
Your buffet menu also states there will be prawns. But no, no cooked prawns that night. I know menu is on rotational basis, but surely? why do you rotate such bad quality and lousy tasting food?
Restaurant’s aircon was spoilt that night. It was so so so stuffy that night. Felt that you could have informed the customers earlier before they head down? Was supposed to be a birthday celebration, but all was messed up, mood was spoilt.
Service staff was polite. Thats all that i could see.
But i did not pay $88++ for such lousy food. Its even a nightmare to have charge more than $50 though.
Marriot tangs hotel is situation in the heart of orchard. I definitly expected the food to be at least, of average standard.
Visited marriot tangs for buffet 7/8 years ago, food was soso. Decided to give it another chance this time as the menu loooks real good. After this time, i told my bf, “i am definitely not coming back” .
Really horrible and terrible experience. Dont trust the menu they had on the website.More
