Jackie, our server at the hotel restaurant at the Doubletree Hollywood Beach is top notch. She was attentive and thoughtful in how she provided service for myself and my colleague. Awesome employee....there should be more like her!

I totally enjoyed myself even after a few years since my last visit. Food is top quality as I remembered and the drinks are superb. My reservation started at 5pm, so we sat by the beautiful skylight, enjoying the peaceful and stylish surroundings before the...dinner crowd. The only downside: the couches are looking really worn. We had the mussels and hand cut steak tartare, and the presentation and taste do not disappoint at all.More
Disaster place due to lack of management. I used to like the place before Covid but not anymore. The drink is expensive compared with other places. They let a lot of people come in so there is no space to stand/dance/ not enough air to...breathe and so damn hot 🥵if you just arrived in Asia can’t even stay in for 30’. Better go somewhere and pay for the expensive drinks with respect and can stand properly like humans. So crowded with many naughty weird smells from people sticking to you and taking forever to order drinks 😭. The big lady manager was so damn arrogant and rude. Check out the bills if they charged you for the correct order or overcharged. They charged my friends for the things that they didn’t order. Good luck 👍 --More
I arrived a bit earlier than my reservation & was allocated a seat at the bar. All the staff were very polite & friendly & the ambience of the place was very vibrant. Lovely crowd & will definitely visit again soon.
Rarely go out late these days, but we did recently and had a great time. The place was jam packed, but the head bartender is a rockstar, barely waited more than a few mins to be served (and we had plenty of rounds). When a...pour wasn’t full, they quickly placed a new in the shaker to fill it; sign of uncompromising quality. Yes, it’s expensive ($30 a negroni all in) but at least great vibes & service.More
Food and drinks were really good, but they really rush you out for the next shift in a rude way. I understand that they have furher bookings but they remind you about it 1 hour before Deadline and push you out in an unfriendly manner...even though you are consuming a lot (unfriendly head of restaurant as well)More
Be absolutely sure you want to eat here. They have an onerous 72 hour cancellation policy, which is quite restrictive. 24 hours for cancellation ought to be plenty of notice for a restaurant of this caliber; yet, despite 24 hour notice, they charged us $50...per person anyway - in accordance with their cumbersome policy. Eat elsewhere; life happens.More
Booked a table with 3 friends and after 2 hours the forced us to leave the table (even though our bill was more than SGD 400), we even order more food for them to allow us to stay longer in the table, once the food...arrived they forced us to leave the table, we ended up eating stand-up. The funny thing is that the people that took our table only bought a bottle of wine… The food is very average quality and very overpriced (as well as the cocktails) and the cocktails are standard (this is not the place you go to enjoy a cocktail in-house creations…). Despite all the above, except the manager of the place (rude woman), the waitress and waiters are professional and polite. Completely overrated place; small, poor, cheap decoration and environment that you can find in other places around Singapore where they treat you at least as any customer deservesMore
Smashed Burgers and cocktails are a must at Employees Only. And also, Bryan always makes it a fun night!
Rude staff, which is shouting at customers. Pushing us around, touching us in sensitive locations & freaking out when confronting them. Toxic and unsafe environment, especially for females. Never again.
Thought we were going to have a good time, but it turned out to be a complete nightmare. We spent close to $300 (6 drinks and 4 dishes) to get chased out within 2 hours. The staff each took turns to come and get us...to leave. We were treated with hostility even though it was never our intention to overstay our welcome. They repeatedly tried to clear my friend's food while she was still eating (her fork had fries). The main course took a while to be served and the portion was quite large, so she needed time to finish. Even though she was already rushing when they first started chasing us, the staff showed zero empathy. Eventually, she abandoned the unfinished food and chugged down a $26++ cocktail. Service: - Even though we were a party of 3 who reserved the 7pm slot (where people are likely to have dinner), we were seated at a small bar table instead of the dining tables at the back. - The music got very loud as the night progressed. When I politely asked if it was possible to reduce the volume slightly, the immediate answer was a resolute no. After seeing how taken aback I was, the female server said she would check. She did turn it down slightly but I think the experience was quite uncalled for. - They ran a full house and the staff were visibily stressed. It was also very hard to catch their attention. Food: - Avoid the corn dogs - it was $12++ for 5 tiny ones. - Drinks are good but also pricey - ranging from $26-32 (they have a $20 nightly special which is great to start with). - Pasta and burger are delicious - if only I got to finish my sweet potato fries!More
We made a (not last minute) reservation for 4 for dinner, aware of the fact that any kind of table could be assigned we asked for an indoor table. We found we were given a bar table about 60cmX60cm. As there were tables available we asked...if we could be moved saying we were all very hungry and would be ordering quite a bit of food as well as drinks. The waitstaff was very kind, knowledgeable and decent. However the explanations which I assume are not their thoughts were not reasonable. Then came a lady - the manager? Owner? Queen? She had an interesting demeanour, hugging some customers while rolling eyes and glaring at others. We were in the second category. Basically she said it is written on the web and we get what we get and that we should suck it up. Believe it or not we did, it was a Friday night at 9pm so we kind of had to. Then I asked the guys at the door, who were also kind and reasonable, if we could have friends join is for drinks after we were done with our dinner at about 10:30pm. The said they would check then said that would be fine. Our friends came, we ordered more drinks. Then we were approached by the waitstaff to ask us to move to another table closer to the door, it was the exact same table, same distance to the bar and other tables and same size. We were given several reasons: - safe distancing - change of pax number - other reservation All of which were quite illogical. Then “the lady” cane and said we had to and they were not asking the guy at the door backed this up. Drinks in hand we moved. The music was great the ambiance was nice, it was about 10:50 and we ordered another round of drinks, the order was taken (and drinks arrived shortly) but at 10:55 the guy at the door came along to say we had to leave at 11pm sharp as the table was reserved for other guests! I understand the 2 hour seating rule but a 9pm reservation with drinks and food flowing… would they be moved? Really? And if we were going to be asked to leave wouldn’t it be more appropriate to let us know when we were placing the order for the last round of drinks? Again the guy at the door showed up, we might as well have invited him to dine with us that’s how much of him we saw…. Said we HAD to leave there was no other option, “the lady” was glaring from a distance. We paid the check which was hard to get, the staff were not at all apologetic about anything and we were ushered out as if we had done something wrong.More
The manager was extremely rude and disrespectful when we simply asked for our table since we were not seated 20 minutes after our reservation. They were clearly allowing other people but were being difficult with some of us waiting outside despite having paid for the...reservation. Decided to cut our losses and lose the payment because of the poor treatment. Definitely not coming back again.More
The level of service here is dismal. The waitress with glasses is condescending and unhelpful. She plainly shouldnt be in the services industry. I introduced my business clients to this place (after raving about EO) and was criticized by them for the horrible service. Very...embarrassing. Eating here is like being under the gun and harassed as the waitress pestered us to order food 50 entire minutes before the end of our time slot. We were even the largest group out of all of the tables. We just left early and went on to the Moonstone Bar right next door. Super friendly and better food.More
We were a table of 5 and shown a table for 2. When we asked for a bigger table or why smaller groups were on tables twice the size of ours we were told nothing can be done and told by the manager to leave...if we didn’t like it. This was very poor planning on the restaurants part. If you don’t have enough tables don’t have too many people for the space. A birthday dinner ruined by the managerMore
