Mag has stood the test of time and has been dishing out culinary masterpieces for 26 years (since 1996). Mind blowing dishes are the lobster risotto and the crab starter grilled with little gem lettuce, topped with trout roe and truffle vinaigrette. It’s a winning...combination. Also superb is their specials. On this occasion we had their lamb loin and new on the menu the hauntingly memorable pork ribeye with sweet potato, mustard and morel cream. Loved sitting on the counter seating with open view of the master chef at work. Best seat in the house in my opinion. Very good wine selection for food pairing too.More

Very casual dining environment, friendly but not so flexible / knowledgeable waiter. When I ordered the wine outside the restaurant , it took me so long for him to come outside and take my order as I have to stand in front the main door...and waive my hand at him. We ordered few wines from the menu but found all no stock.. for 2 to 3 times. Then we found one with 2015 vintage but he brought out 2017 and insisted the same price hen we asked any price difference . He should have realized we knew the wine well. Despite this, the food served is excellent especially the pork ribeye and tomahawk. Enjoyed the perfect domes ness of the both meats where a great shill to ensure that. Little pink inside the pork meat showed the right temperature being used to prepare the food. I prefer the pan seared Foie gras than the spread . Pan seared Hokkaido was tasty.. so sweet to have the chef / owner do teh restaurant out to meet with us. Keep it up!!More

A small cosy restaurant with such a nice ambience that you feel at ease immediately - and then the food arrives…which makes the experience even better given that the prices are not exorbitant. The food was amazing. Honestly surprised that someone can make a value...for money comment. This is my new to go place for a night out to have a delicious meal which does not cost an arm and a leg but still you get a high class dinner. Each time I have been it’s been a success. This place is so recommendable and I promise that you will not be disappointed.More

The ambiance of the restaurant is nice, it is set-up cozy. The food was not special, taste we sometimes off and dishes were average. Service was also not what we expected for the level of restaurant. There ate better restaurants in this price range.More

With the rare occasion of both my wife and I being free on a weekday, we decided to go out for lunch. Mag's came up in the search for somewhere new, and it looked like a great selection of items on the prix fixe lunch...menu. A charming restaurant in one of the shophouses at the beginning of Keong Saik with a fabulous open kitchen concept, it was all very inviting. The fixed lunch menu is great value and the choices are fantastic. I opted for the foie gras terrine and pork ribeye. Both were exceptional and generous. The pork came slightly pink, which is how I like it. My wife selected the Uni Soba special and the Beef Tenderloin. Again, both were outstanding and the tenderloin was a nice quality piece of meat, cooked to a perfect bleu. Throughout the meal, the quality of service and attention from the staff was professional without being intrusive. Plus there was enough time between courses to enjoy the lunch and not feel we were being rushed out. From chatting with the manager we discovered that Mag's has been about for 25 years and I can't believe how I had not heard about it before today. This will certainly be added to one of our go-to restaurants. It is certainly worth a visit, you won't be disappointed.More

I learnt about Mag’s Wine Kitchen through social media. I read a lot of positive reviews about this restaurant. So I decided to have my birthday celebration there this year. I am so pleased that I’ve made the right choice. Everything was wonderful. The food...was well presented and very delicious. The staff are very welcoming, attentive and professional. I really enjoyed the foie gras and tenderloin beef. I am thankful for the special arrangement that the restaurant staff has prepared for my birthday celebration. We would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and we will definitely come back again for the omakase menu :)More

We wanted to have a lunch in the area and Mondays most of the restaurant in this street are closed, so we tried Mag’s restaurant, lucky of us. The experience was fantastic. You have to pass by the kitchen to access the dinning area. Restaurant...small and cozy with good deco, nice music with perfect volume. We choose the set lunch that was tasty with good portions all was yummy. Service was attentive, elegant, professional. Chef came to say bye personally , she is not only focus to cook also to take care of the guest. It’s a Must in Singapore! Thank you!More

It's a nice little restaurant in a vibrant part of town, below the new Kesa Hotel. The staff are all friendly, professional & knowledeable. The menu is small but varied (unless you're a vegetarian) & the food was absolutely excellent. The wine selection is also...varied, unusual & excellent. In search of critisisms I'd joking say they need to slow down the servie a little if they want to give a truly French feel ;-) They should also always serve/recommend a side of vegetables (as there's not enough with the main) & they could do with a little sound deadening material on the wall/ceiling as it's gets pretty loud once full. However, none of these take away from the excellent food & wine coupled with wonderful service. We shall return!More
