We stumbled across this place accidentally and decided to eat there from seeing people queueing up to eat there (and seeing a photo of President Widodo visiting the place plastered outside). We had the Grilled Ayam and Bebek Goreng - we tried to order duck...skin as well but it was sold out. The food was delicious and service was fast. The price was really good too. Would definitely eat here again.More
The fried duck is really good. But the place is not very comfortable as it is hugely popular and orders for delivery are nonstop throughout the day. Needless to say, the food took a long time to come. You have to order and pay at...the counter before being seated. Staff are functional as they are busy as a bee throughout with the nonstop orders. A pity because the food is very good and the prices reasonable, though not cheap. The best, I suppose, is to order takeaway through apps like what most people do.More
COVID really messed up my Bali plans to consume their famed Bali Duck Goreng. This comes close to the experience sans the surrounding Duck fried to a delectable crisp so much so that even the bones are edible. The piece de resistance is the Chilli...condiments esp their Sambal Ori and Ijo. Exploding in flavor and heat, it literally brought tears to my eyes (& nose). I had a double helping!! Other dishes too were great but this conjures Bali instantly to me. Must go!!!More
Wife recommended this place for lunch. It was the best decision made. As you walk into the restaurant, the decoration brings you back to a typical warung in bali. The painted art on the wall, the lighting and the presentation of the food. So we...order the bebek, ox tail soup and gado gado. The food was good and kina bring us back to our travel days where we enjoy the dishes in bali. Staff were friend but its a busy restaurant, the turn over is fast and tables are cleaned ever so often for the next customer. Will surely come back for my balinesse food.More
Came for the bebek Goreng and ended up enjoying the chicken Goreng penyet even more!! You got go try it yourself. Service is prompt and staff are friendly.
We had the bebek goreng and grill bebek for dinner. Both nice and the chilli was a killer. It's so spicy but yummy. Between the two, I prefer the grill style.
Had not eaten duck for ages, so decided to try. I ordered the fried duck set and a side if peanut sauce. Awesome peanut sauce. Right amount of sweetness and crunch. The fried duck was indeed crispy and tender! No smell whatsoever. When combined the...rice with the peanut, the combi is amazing Chilli was kind of mellow. Sambal would be preferred for me. More vegetables would be fantastic. Nice place. Would return. They also have other food items. Not just duck.More
Fried duck with the “ green “ chilli- wow! The bakso is also tasty. Light broth with vermicelli. The tahu telor is another good option.
Had lunch here with the family and they liked the meal. We loved the tahu telor and the grilled chicken sets, which came with vegetables like cab age, and also tofu and tempeh. The chicken was soft and tasty. We also ordered the shredded crispy...duck, which was okay, but had a lot of skin without meat, and not crispy at that. The original smash chicken was good too, if a tad dry.More

Came upon this by accident and was totally a gem! Two of us, we ordered . Crispy duck penyet - OMG! This is so crispy and does not have the bad duck smell. I am not a fan of duck and I have to say...this is one of the best duck I have eaten . Gado gado - the sauce was nice and I liked the fact that there was a lot of vegetables and very little carbs. Nice overall . Crispy duck feet - I have no clue how they did but this is very nice! Just a little too salty . Crispy duck skin - Oh this is so nice! And they came along with some vegetables. . Ice cendol - OK. Just a little too sweet for my liking The food is so nice that we came back 2 days later after having a disappointing meal at the restaurant besides it.More
Previously, I had a very similar type of Penyet from Batam, Cobain. (See my previous post on Cobain). From then, I have been searching for duck Penyet till I bumped into this at Lucky Plaza. Being greedy (as usual) 3 of us order 1 whole...duck and 1 tahu telur. The Tahu Telur - cubed tofu deep-fried after heavily battered with egg, served with a bed of julienne cut cucumber and carrots, a sweet and savory peanut sauce. Tastes amazing! Then came the whole duck, fried and cut into 8 pieces upon request. It was served with Tofu, Tempeh (fried fermented Soya bean patty) Kang Kong vegetables and Green and Red sambal chilli. For those who cannot take the heat from the spicy chilli, I will recommend the Green Chilli sambal. The duck meat was crispy on the outside and moist in the insides. Service, the food was served very quickly and was piping hot when it arrived. We requested for the music to lowered and it was quite loud and the staff lowered the volume without giving any excuses. Will definitely revisit!More
Lots of free publicity from Indonesian President Jokowi Widodo who dined here. Deep fried duck is a must-try: crispy on the outside & tender yet moist on the inside. Very satisfying when eaten with their freshly minced chilli! Shredded fried duck is another variation but...only if you like super crispy meat that’s a tad dry. There’s the healthier options like grilled chicken too. Worth a visit for real spicy food!More
I had taken this crispy duck in Jakarta and Bali for many years back. After having again it in Singapore, it really remind me those days.
