Our recent experience at Coriander Leaf left us very disappointed. We had friends visiting from overseas who were appalled with the experience. One of our guests has an allergy to nuts and eggs. When placing the order, we were all VERY explicit in requesting our...server to inform us whether any of the dishes we had ordered contained the allergens. The Muhamarrah ofcourse had walnuts which she forgot to mention and our guest had an immediate reaction on ingestion. Though our server was apologetic and took accountability, we were shocked that this matter which could have been potentially life threatening was not taken seriously by the restaurant. The manager was obviously not informed about the incident . On a separate note, the food was very average . I don’t think we will go back again.More

Nice service , great food. Jamie who seemed to be the senior staff attending to the restaurant was particularly nice and warm who took the initiative to explain details of the dishes and took careful note of additional requests. And presented thw dessert with a...candle on it when she learnt it was a birthday dinner. Overall a wonderful experience. Will return soon. Cjeers!More

If I could award Michelin Stars this place would get one. Or five. Or whatever the maximum is. Just had lunch here and in a foodie city this place stands out. The food is EPIC! From the variety to the flavor to the presentation. Perfection....The service deserves recognition too. Attentive, informative, helpful. Just wow and very well done. Thank you.More

Upstairs and well worth the short climb. Brilliant service and love of food. Free taster for starters was BRILLIANT and food that ensued very good quality. If you get a chance pay it a visit

Really loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. I sat up at the bar/kitchen counter which I highly recommend if ever dining solo or in a two as you get to watch the team in action! Staff were just attentive enough to make you feel well...looked after without being all over you. Food is just delicious. I am a vegetarian so this was a big draw. The vegetarian menu is extensive and all the flavours in what I ate complimented each other well. The coconut ice cream dessert was a beautiful end to my meal. The complimentary appetiser was a real bonus, and I highly recommend adding the chilli piece that arrives with it. The warmth of flavour sat in my mouth for the next 5 minutes and was really pleasant.More

This a wonderful find especially for those with dietary requirements. They handle gluten free correctly. The food is high quality and there is a wide variety. Service is friendly and attentive. We (party of four) had a wonderful meal and experience.

Really not a great experience for $100 / person. Coriander Leaf feels like a restaurant that has been cashing in on a formula for far too long. The dishes are reasonably creative and tasty, and a quick check on Google proves that almost everything we...ordered was on the menu back in 2019, so they ought to be well-practiced at this stage. Dishes arrive overly quickly and staff are encouraging you to order more. Two of us ordered cocktails which were small and not at all interesting. The charcoal-grilled broccoli tasted burnt and not charred (this is a fine line when you attempt to char broccoli). The jackfruit curry was delicious but a touch too spicy (in my opinion). Crabcakes were good too, but tiny and not in any way unique to this restaurant. Watermelon and pomelo salads both looked great in the menu description, but totally don't hit the mark (fruit ratio is way too high). The wok-fried cumin lamb lacked any real punch and was chewy - any delicacy the meat may have had was long gone by the time it reached our table. Dessert was the highlight - we shared the Sampler B in which the ice cream sandwiches and rose pavlova really stood out, but not enough food for the three of us. I felt like there is nothing here that isn't done better elsewhere. Yes, there is a lot to be said for the overall eclectisism of the menu, but not at that price point. This is not experiential dining - and it should be - due to the bland ambience of the restaurant. The open kitchen cannot rescue the fact that the lighting is wrong and the staff cannot instill a sense of occasion with food that lands on your table moments after you ordered it. Time to change the formula.More

My wife and I decided to book this restaurant as a final night treat on our short Singapore stopover. The restaurant was busy and fully booked so we felt all should be fine and we were not disappointed, the open kitchen added to the theatre....We did find the menu set out a little confusing but once mastered we were very satisfied with our selections, the whitebait and the sea bass being the outstanding dishes from our choices. With the exception of being rushed, at the end of the evenings service, in relation to committing to a dessert or not whilst still eating our main course the service was very satisfactory and having asked for a dessert we had to change our mind as we felt rushed and cancelled this part of our order, we were amongst the last to leave and were delighted when the head chef produced a small sample dessert for us that was a real delight. Would highly recommend a visit.More

This was a peculiar experience. The food is exquisite, but the staff behaviour is a little strange. They asked us four or more times whether we had any questions about the food, quite insistent. It’s not very complicated. Also, we have been there before, even...though it was a long time ago. Perhaps they get a lot of tourists eating there? However, still no reason to be patronising. When we had finished ordering, we were asked “That’s all you want?” I’m afraid so. We felt we had an adequate amount of food, which was correct. We ordered a bottle of wine, which was briskly emptied into glasses as soon as possible by staff, followed by the question “Another one, yes.” Actually no. - It’s not a particularly cozy restaurant, but that I could live with if they were nicer to their customers. To be fair - we had one young waitress, out of three people, who was lovely. So I don’t know - I would have wanted to go again to try more of their fabulous food, but I think I need to go somewhere with a less almost contemptuous attitude to the customer.More

Our lunch started with the waiter trying to balance a bottle of wine, bottle of water and 2 glasses without a tray and failing, dropping a glass and smashing it all over our table, floor and my wife who was not impressed. He tried to...blame it on a crack in the glass but my wife saw the whole thing and just said he was trying to balance too much and it slipped and should have used a tray. The waiter was very apologetic and asked us what complimentary drink we wanted to compensate us. I said Champagne and he said that he didn’t have a bottle open…..which surely wasn’t the point? It was supposed to make up for smashing a glass on our table which meant we had to move and my wife was still getting glass out of her dress an hour later….! So we settled for Prosecco although he clearly knew he had done wrong again as when we were about to have dessert he said that a bottle of Champagne had become open and he could now give us a glass. I don’t actually believe him as the Champagne was flat… The waitress also wasn’t very knowledgeable about anything so between the two of them it was a bit of a joke. The food was fine if unspectacular apart from the spicey fin which was lovely and the duck with pancakes. The rest wasn’t great including their signature chicken and their desserts were bland. What a shame, I used to love coming here but it’s gone downhill. It was clearly a sign when the waiter smashed the glass all over our table, we should have left then.More

The title of this review says it all. - To which I should add: ‘ great bar, too!’ Good - And I would heartily recommend this place to anyone - if it were not for the travesty, the sad and sorry joke, that is the...cleanliness and overall appearance of their gentlemens’ toilet. - Having said that: a clean entrance would not hurt, either. The used latex glove that was lying there at opening time was still lying there hours later when we left. Shame, really. So easy to solve....More
