Great option for a quick meal or to have a taste of several foods that locals have. They actually come to lunch during the week so it’s crowded, with lines but fast. It even has a wc which makes it a great pit stop during...More

Large assortment of stalls, each serving different regional foods, most with a rice or sometimes noodle focus, and also including shredded bits of chicken in various sauces. As we approached, having to walk 2 blocks to the back of the block lond, covered market, we...More

If you want to try authentic local food it is always advised to go where the locals eat. This is one such eaterie and it didn't disappointed for a cheap breakfast. Would recommend for both atmosphere and food.

Very cheap food, great for people watching the locals eating dinner, not all stalls were open, they have the MRT building works going on around this building, so you can't see it from the main road anymore. Worths a look, we had satay chicken with...More

Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful
sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling
sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its
blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an
Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit
almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony
continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to
the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill.

Easy way to get there is to take the East West line to Tanjong Pajar station and take the Maxwell Road exit (which should have directions to the market). Also worth trying, and it is a lot closer, is the Amoy Street Food... More
