In wherever you stay at, I recommend you should take a taxi to go here. The first thing I think you should try here is Meat Satay like chicken, beef and lamb. With the price is 70 cents/ chop, you can eat all type of meat, they don't clarify the price by the type of meat, so you can eat... More

For those in a budget, the Bugis area is the best spot for you to find cheap items and meals. Best for locals and tourists but might be a little on the dirty side of Singapore. Near the Bugis terminal.

We picked up some great food here and cheap as well. Takeaway so we could take it back to the hotel to enjoy. I'd recommend looking here for something to eat if you want to be safe and not eat off the streets (which I'd recommend as well though!).

This is obviously not gonna be your high class michelin or 4* resturant. But if you want a cheap, yet tasty option than you can't go wrong with the food courts and hawker centres in SIngapore. This was one of the many hawker centres I frequented during my 1 week stay in the country. Depending where you are staying in... More

THe Food Village is just where we ate most of the time - variation in menu from one store to the other is a nice experiment for the palate. Stores are rated by the health department as either A, B, C - B's are great stores as well. Explore your palate.

This hawker centre is great. This is real food that Singaporeans eat at Singaporean prices. This isn't a toned down experience just for tourists. Find somewhere to sit, find a stall that serves what you feel like eating and off you go. Each stall specialises in a few dishes, we tried a seafood laksa and sambas chicken. The lady selling... We ate here a few times. It was very cheap and fresh. A bit crowded at times but that adds to the experience. We had duck one day which was delicious. I recommend that you give it a go.
