Had lunch with the family at the hawker centre. My young son was with us. We ordered the $5.50 basic small portion. 1. The photos and store front is very modern and eye-catching. 2. The dish was average and not bad. 3. We feel that,...given the setting and portion size, the price was on the upper limit of acceptable. 4. We felt that customer focus was not there. As a family we enjoy spicy food. My son is not ready for it. Hence, we ordered a non-spicy version and asked for the chilli to be served on the side. The shopkeepers refused to serve it that way, because - “Our chilli is made with cili padi and will be too spicy for you” - “we don’t do it that way” Even when we assured them that we will manage the spiciness, they did not relent. Their counter suggestion was to order two portions, one spicy and one not.More

It’s a modern twist to this all-time favourite local dish. The serving is not generous and looks somewhat healthier as compared to the conventional rojak. Therefore, the taste is compromised.

I'm not a fan of rojak and we stumble upon this shop by chance. It's in the hawker centre BUT this stall stands out! It has this cafe look. There were long Q everywhere during the lunch crowd so we decided to have rojak. We...ordered the Golden Set ( yu tiao and tau pok). The wait was a bit long(abt 7 mins) ..but once we tasted it - it was worth it! Very generous with the yummy sauce and peanut. It was delicious! The yu tiao and tau pok were not hard and still has a crunchy texture. It was so yummy that we went back to the shop to takeaway for dinner. Ordered the Rojak Line Rojak. Despite the 1hr journey home from there, the rojak and the fruits were still fresh by the time I got home. Highly recommend this rojak! The sauce is just so sedap!!More
