Kids found this place on their food app and recommended we give it a try. Found the place after some navigation and looking for parking. The place is quite. We wanted to try the burger items on the menu but were told that they have...ran out of buns by dinner time (its was Sat). So we settled for other mains such as the steak, pasta with prawns, seabass fillet and chicken chop. The food was ok and the service was basic. Our kids used their food app which had a 1-1 promotion. The meal led us to the opportunity to walk along Bencoolen street which was near SMU and NAFA to explore the local food outlets on a Sat evening. We even walked to Princep - Selegie street area which was really "happening". This whole place is quite interesting.More

Came here for their set lunch in late March, shortly before the lockdown came into effect in Singapore. Wasn't very busy at lunchtime and we were able to get a table quite easily. Food was ok and service was friendly and efficient. Good value for...money at a total bill of below $30 for the 2 of us.More

Had dinner here as it was next door to our hotel . Service was very basic. Ordered a chicken Cutlet (Grilled chicken Thigh) with chips and salad. Turned out salad was three lettuce leaves. Companion ordered Samba fish and rice. Very salty, oily and far...too many bones.. I'd recommend going somewhere else.More

….THIS IS GOOD/AVERAGE Here’s the thing. The GLASS ONION was our hotel’s designated place for the inclusive breakfast. So naturally we checked it out. Brekka here is an Asian-style buffet, pretty good with a reasonably wide selection – egg tragics may be disappointed in no...egg station although the tray of scrambled did the job fer me. For people without inclusive brekka the cost is $Singpapore12 – reasonable value compared with similar places nearby – although budget travellers can get cheaper brekka at FOOD REPUBLIC** abt 150m SSW opposite the main entrance to BELCONNEN MRT. GLASS ONION had placards out front for attractive (fer Singapore) HAPPY HOUR drinks – so we did mid-pm drinkies here, on the counter up against the window where you can check the passing scene on Belconnen St. - not bad. MY RATING – 3 TRIPADVISOR roundels (GOOD/AVERAGE) sums this place up. I thought it quite good but no better than hundreds of similar places in Singapore. This city does these places well. ** TRIPADVISOR has separate reader review page.More

My mum and I visited The Glass Onion on a quiet Sunday night. We’d walked past numerous times during our time in Singapore and were excited to give it a try! The restaurant was quiet with only a few tables full. There was sport on...the television which was fine (we were able to catch up on the UK football) We were sat down at a table and ordered. I ordered cheesy garlic shrimps and smoked duck for main.. well what can I say? The flavours and taste were just amazing! I honestly could not fault the food at all and the service was also quick and not overbearing. It was a shame the restaurant wasn’t busier as the food was so good! I wish we had visited sooner so we could have eaten there again during our visit but it was unfortunately our last night. Will definitely visit again if we come back to Singapore ☺️More

Initially started eating here for breakfast due to links with Hotel Mi. Small but good variety for breakfast, with at least 8 hot dishes, plus salads, breads, etc. Slight changes in menu each morning. Also ate here one late afternoon which was a nice relaxing...atmosphere. They have music playing in background and if you ask they will search and play your favourites. Note that advertised prices do not include the service fee or GST but this is quite typical in Singapore, so expect it where 3ver you go. The one thing I did not like was their coffee included in the breakfast which is in a 'thermos'. either pay for one made through their machine, or go to Toast Box across the road. But overall, quite a good place to eat.More

We went here while waiting to check into our hotel next door. It wasn't too busy at 12:30 and we got seated pretty quickly. The staff were very nice but due to only one waiter attending all guests as well as making the coffees, it...was a little slow at times. It was okay though as we weren't in a rush. We ordered the onion rings, Wagyu Beef Burger and a side salad. The Burger comes with fries, so we probably ordered a bit much. The Onion Rings are a MUST TRY, they are so nice and very different to the ones I have had so far. The Wagyu burger was really nice as well, juice and delicious. We had to wait a little longer than usual, as the kitchen didn't receive our order correctly in the first instance. But the waiter has rectified this and apologised, so all good. I would recommend going here before 1:30pm, as afterwards it got quite busy - which can be a bit noisy I guess. We finished off with some nice, creamy and tasty Cappucino to round our experience off. All in all a very good experience. With the offer of 2 for 1 main courses, this wasn't too expensive either. I would recommend to go here if in the area.More

We (a family of 5 with teenagers) ate here twice during our 4 evenings in Singapore. The food was excellent; reasonably priced with good friendly service. My teenage boys loved the well priced steak whilst the rest of us chose tasty local and other Asian...options.Very convenient for Rendez-Vous Hotel. Would recommend.More

We had dinner in this restaurant. The food was pretty good, Japanese based menu. Only problem is the acoustic; a large group of guests was so loud that we really had to raise our voices to have a conversation.
