Came here for brunch. Was absolutely delicious. Both had build your own breakfast and could not fault a single element. Scrambled eggs so creamy! Very reasonably priced. Good selection. Very clean and nice atmosphere. Will definitely return.

We had a delicious breakfast. The breakfast bagel is fantastic and the watermelon juice is great with just the right amount of ice to drink ratio. Very friendly staff.
The meal starts with room temperature tap water. Then we are asked to put in our order through the app. Fine. I am still hopeful. The food was served pretty quick. The problem was the flavors were just not working. The toast that came with...avocado and an egg, with nuts and seeds had an unpleasant taste. The breakfast bagel was not much better. The toast was so soggy, how long was the avocado on the toast? The coffee was not very good either. Not recommended.More
We were here a year ago and really enjoyed the coffee and food. this time we went with the family and found nothing has changed. The service was excellent, as was the food and the coffee. Easy to get to from Purvis street hotels or...the closer Carlton or Swiss. Singapore has developed a fine coffee culture and since Covid a number of new specialty coffee shops have opened. Not all offer breakfast like the Glasshouse. Credit cards are the best was to pay. Cash was very rarely asked for and in some places not an option at all since Covid On another point if you plan to get a sim buy it at 7/11 for $12 instead of the more expensive ones at the airport. There is a 7/11 near Purvis StreetMore
My wife and I visited The Glasshouse first thing - 8am - on a Sunday morning. It's situated in Chijmes which is just across the road from our hotel. Service was very efficient and the staff were very friendly without exception. There are stacks of...options for individual breakfast items and you can pick and choose to build up your own breakfast. Or there are some pre-determined dishes. My wife had crispy bacon, avocado, toast and butter together with a white coffee. All, including the coffee, received a thumbs up. I ordered the granola bowl along with a matcha latte. My first matcha so I can tick that off my 'to do' list now. The granola bowl looked small but was filling. Berry yoghurt with dragon fruit, fresh pineapple, granola, chocolate buttons and honey. Very tasty. Well worth a visit. We'll try to go again before we leave Singapore as I have my eye on an egg dish.More
Delicious breakfast, with the granola bowl and scrambled eggs on toast, with smashed avocado, being our favourites.
Great coffee is an out of the way place. Outside seating is not as comfortable as inside but your not there long anyway. Inside with a/c is much better. Service was quick, courteous and efficient. Toilet is up stairs via and old style spiral stair...case. Toilets were clean as expected in Singapore. There is an alternative toilet but it is on the opposite side of the building at ground level.More
This is the third time I have visited the Glasshouse, and most have had great experiences, but do agree that the service could be brought up by a notch or two. Despite the menu being rather compact and easy to explain, questions to the servers...for recommendations drew blanks, rather than explanations that could perhaps help narrow down our choices to aid us in our ordering process. The overall vibe of the place just feels rather stand-offish. Notwithstanding, the matcha latte and iced latte ordered were on point, so was the portion of tater tots we ordered.More
Warm and friendly staff. We ordered the Truffle Tater Tots $9, Peach Milllefeuille $12 and hot white coffee $5.50. The white coffee was smooth and aromatic. I like the natural deco. Kitchen closes at 5.30pm. After which, the cafe offered a smaller menu.
The cafe has many reviews, so i went with my cousins during our hols. Nice and comfortable place. But we were turned down by the behaviour of the manger. Our food came and we started eating. Halfway through, we felt uncomfortable. This person keeps lingering...at our table with his hawk eyes eyeing at us. THE MANGER. It makes us felt uncomfortable. We quickly finished our food and went to the counter to pay. The manager served us and told us our payment. We took out our cash and guess what, the manager says, payment by card only. Huh ??? Ok, we took out our debit card and guess what again, the manager says, payment only by credit card. Huh, what ?? This is ridiculous ! Dont accept cash or debit card. Oh, the manager wants to play 'such games', luckily, we do have credit cards. We paid and went off. You can see the manager face went black and annoyed. To the manager whom we forgotten to jot down yoir name, you are so much older than us but acting so childish and discriminating your customer. Trying to belittle us and maybe, throw a scene at the cafe ?! Are you watching too many kdrama and getting influenced by the plot, lol... Grow up, please, you are disgracing not yourself but the cafe and the service line. Kindly be more matured. We are living in Singapore, a fine city. Oh well, this is the first and last time we will be stepping into this cafe, we wont even recommend our friends and family to this place.More
Found the glasshouse from the google actually, went there early morning, very nice and cosy way to start the day. Tried the mocha and grilled cheese add with ham, the portion is quite good. Great food, nice ambience and Friendly service too, will be back...for more...!More
Food is average Beverages good but small portion Service is lacklustre and almost condescending Not recommended.
I came back here for another great cappuccino in Feb 2020 with a friend after lunch nearby. Always very happy with the coffee at this place, but sometimes it can be tricky to find a table. Hoping to visit again once the lockdown has ended.
Came back here in Dec 2019 for more coffee after lunch in the vicinity. They just have a standard white coffee offering, but no complaints. Always a good vibe in this place but sometimes can get quite crowded.
If the winning brew of good coffee, clean minimalist ambience enveloped by lush greenery and glass house all appeal to you, Glasshouse will Chijme (pardon the pun) with you. Tucked in a quiet lane on the Chijmes compound, along a stretch of hipster-minimalist cafes and...a bar, this is a good sunlit-refuge from the other commercial joints to get some quality and green ‘me' time.More
