At Green Ba, the décor and layout was clean and spacious, which gave it a more modern, contemporary look. In fact, without knowing the context, one would think it was your usual fusion Western food place. Green Ba maintains the philosophy of typical Chinese vegetarian...restaurants (yes, it’s more Chinese than Asian) – mock meats are central and mainstay of its menu. There are Seafood Hor Fun, Otak Otak and Broccoli with Abalone, to name a few. We ordered a few dishes: Pesto Al Fungi Pasta, Seafood Tom Yum Soup, Otak Otak and Broccoli with Abalone, with the Pasta being the only true vegetarian dish in my view. Otak Otak tasted strong of soybean and had none of the spices of your typical Otak Otak. Broccoli with Abalone over-cooked. All in all, I will not visit this restaurant again, plainly because when I want to eat vegetarian, I am really looking for vegetables/fruits/non-meats rather than meat-replacements – and meat replacements always inflate the price to the extent that I no longer find the food value-for-money.More
Last week, my sister, M her vegetarian friend and I had lunch at Green Ba Restaurant in Marina Square. Originally I had suggested to them that we have lunch at a non-vegetarian eatery but later on I decided to google for a vegetarian restaurant at...Marina Square and after reading the positive reviews for Green Ba, we decided to go there instead. This proved to be a great decision :) The three of us opted for the value-for-money lunch deal of $10.90 nett per person. M and I ordered blue pea nasi lemak which both of us found delicious. My sis enjoyed her choice of gong bao ramen mee. The lunch set also includes osmanthus jelly (not too sweet, we enjoyed eating it) and honey lemon tea (lovely, and such a big cup!). We also ordered three side dishes - orh nee (delicious, wish the portion was a little bigger though), rojak (yummy) and crispy mushrooms (tasty but my sis and I found it a tad too salty). Not only was the food delicious, but the presentation of the food was beautiful. It's obvious the chefs take pride in their cooking - thumbs up! Service was friendly, attentive and polite. Another thumbs up! We arrived at 11.30 am (the first customers :)) and an hour later, there were still not many customers. I guess it is just too competitive in the area, so many eateries nearby. Which is a pity since the ambience in the restaurant was cosy and warm, and we had a really enjoyable time chatting and enjoying the food. We plan to visit the restaurant again soon to try the other dishes!More
I came back here for another lunch in October and this time opted for the veggie burger lunch. Unfortunately it really wasn't that great, lacking in flavour - just bland. I don't think I will be returning in a hurry.
Start with the crispy mushrooms, these are to die for! Non vegos will love these too. A great selection of Asian and western meals that are all vegetarian, most are vegan. Give this place a go you won't be disappointed. Located on the bottom level...just up from burger kingMore
Clean and bright, good food, value for money quality vegetarian food. Service was quite prompt as well.
Visited this place on weekday for lunch. There were only a few people. Ordered the Weekday lunch special at S$10.90 nett inclusive of main, drink & dessert. For the main, there were rices or noodles with about 10 options in all. The blue rice Nasi...Lemak I ordered was delicious. It came with roasted peanuts, cucumbers, crackers, mocked / veg fish, mocked meat & of course the blue rice (cooked with blue flower, not artificial colouring). Serving size was just nice for me, but probably not sufficient for man. The home made barley drink was good & the jelly as well. The weekday lunch set at S$10.90 is a good value, usually it would have cost 50% higher just for the main dish. Would definitely return to try other main dishes on the lunch set.More
Friends gathering. 1st visit. Good place to chat. Foods are tasty. Lots of choices. Staff are friendly.
We ordered pizza and a luffa, bean sprouts vegetable dish and shared a rose wolf berry tea which went well with the meal. We both enjoyed the dishes, however, we felt that the tea was a bit pricey @ $8.90 per small pot. The restaurant...was surprisingly not packed even though it was a Friday night. It’s spacious and can seat quite a number of patrons. I must say I was surprised the thin crust mushroom pizza was delicious. It’s my first time trying the food in this restaurant and my friend told me that she often lunches in this restaurant because they have very good value for money meals, costing about $10/ meal.More
Located in newly renovated Somerset 111. Good all vegetarian menu. Try Rendang Burdock, Pasta, burgers.
Came across this restaurant by chance. Place looks clean and casual. Greeted by a friendly server and we were sold once we flipped thru the Menu that was placed at the front. Asked for some recommendations but decided to pick our own choices. Herbal Soup’s...really very very good and a generous portion. Vegetarian Pho is light and good. The claypot fish is really good too! Will come back for more!More
Was kind of surprised to see a Burger King here but was also nice to see. Ate lunch here one day and the food was good and service was also good.
The food was heavenly, and the food looks exactly like it was on the menu... great for vegetarians...
This was my 2nd time here and it was during CNY. Although the restaurant was busy but the servicing time was very reasonable. We (3adults and 2children)waited for less than 15min, our food was served. We ordered dumplings, prata with curry, spinach with egg white,...clay pot braised duck, cereal mushroom and French bean with radish. Without disappointment, the food was good and we finished all. Other than the food, I must also praised the staffs too, despite the restaurant was busy, they were so attentive. We left the restaurant with great satisfaction.More
I tried this place for the first time last about 2 weeks back. Quite good value at lunchtime with some limited sets available for $10++. I opted for one of the burgers. Efficient service and quite tasty.
