we chose the Masons Table as the Venue for our 2020 corporate dinner just at the time when the coronavirus was starting to spread. We chose it amongst other things because of the historical nature of the building, the layout of the restaurant, the ability...to have a large private area, the quality and variety of the food (although all Western), and of cours because the cost was easily affordable.
We were only a party of 20/25 but the pre-organisation was fantastic. Menus supplied and choices made well in advance, the seating plans sorted out andexecuted as requested, wines selected and sufficient supplies set aside.
On the evening the staff arrived before the management/organising party, and they were well received and watered with their selection of cocktails or other, dinner timing was flexible but once set was adhered to, with the food arriving in a timely manner - the only criticism being that due to the virus there were less staff than normal and one additional server would have made all the difference. Nevertheless starters / main courses / desserts all went down well accompanied by the wines and the spirits.
Corporately we have no complaints at all - a fantastic venue for large parties, or for tables for two, slightly away from the Madding Crowd but close enough to Empire to warrant a Game of Thrones!
Thank you - we will be back!More
