If you're looking for nice craft beer with minimal (almost non-existent) service but don't mind paying service charge, you've come to the right place. I have to say that the beer is outstanding but that's just it. Food was mediocre and expensive. Totally not worth...the price tag. However, it was a gathering with friends, so the company was more important. Don't recommend for date night, however if you like good craft beer, sure to give them a try. Bear in mind that there is a 10% service charge for almost non-existent service (other than bringing you your orders). Note: Hand waving doesn't work here.More
First time here and first time going to a craft beer bar but really enjoyed my night here! Like the minimalist vibes and colour palettes and of course the taps were great as well!
16 taps of different beer, a variety to choose from. Food wise is mainly side dishes like fried chicken, fries, gyozas, which go well with beer.
Chill place. Service is not bad. Their chicken wing is abit too overcooked -quite dry so is their gyoza but it taste not bad. Chilli crab pasta is quite spicy but quite delicious. Overall food is not that bad. Still acceptable. Drinks are okay too.
The place decor is cool. A good place to have chill out sessions with friends and wide spectrum of choices for good craft beers. Very friendly staff Worth going again
Small and cozy, I loved the different craft beer selection. We also had some accompanying food, small tapas style bites which were so tasty. Nice spot to chill with a craft beer and some delicious food.
You could easily walk pass it, but don't! There small bites menu is really good and the service very good.
I've been wanting to pop by Almost Famous Craft Beer Bar for the longest time - finally did, albeit when happy hour was just over. Happy hour at this hole in the wall at CHIJMES is 4 - 7PM (Mon - Sat) / 2 -...8PM (Sun). Pints of craft beer go for $10+, premium craft beer for $12+. I missed Happy Hour, but I still enjoyed my pint of Passionfruit Wheat Ale ($14+) from Pasteur Street. Citrusy & fruity, there are hints of passionfruit & lemon, more so the former than latter so it isn't sour like a saison. A light & delicious beer that pleases the crowd, & which I would order again. Happy Hour or not, whatever you swipe your (linked) credit card for, you'll get cashback from Shopback GO! I actually didn't know this until I checked my phone after I swiped 😂 Sat at the bar counter with my back turned to the world; but before I immersed myself in some me time, I looked around & found the decor to be pretty simple. With various tones of grey & silver, the style is very metallic, almost like the interior of a spaceship. One downside is that reception was pretty bad here.. I sat at the bar, not sure if it varies throughout the premises as they don't have a huge space). WiFi also isn't for public use, so I left after 1 beer. I'll probably return with a friend, or if I have offline work to do. 🍻 💳 Accepts credit cards 🌬 Air-conditioned seats only 🍽 Shopback GO partner 📶 No free WiFi 🙋🏻♀️ Service charge applicable 🚫 No GSTMore
A stand out craft beer bar situated in the Chijmes complex. As with most craft beer places a lovely atmosphere, great staff and friendly co-drinkers Highly recommended, something for everyone and look forward to returning
Almost Famous? They’re just humble, because they should be famous. Geat beer, good food, what more can you ask for. Coming from a local, this place is a must for anyone visiting Singapore. 🙌
To speak the truth Chijmes is not near my workplace, but the place is quite nice to visit with its nice lawn and many good food after work. One day just for wind down and after hearing many good reviews about this place, I decided...to come and visit. The selection is really wide, overseas and local. But it is very barren with not much furnishing and black and white theme. But its really nice place to hang out. I sat by the bar and did not had any food, unfortunately, I heard great reviews about the food though. There is happy hour here and also Chug the beer challenge where you can get free beer if you could finish one pint in a time limit. The bar tender seemed to be very knowledgeable about the Beer scene and info. Do pop by!More
Found this hidden gem craft beer place 🍻 in #singapore 🇸🇬 located at beautiful historic Chijmes this affordable luxury place is famous for its seasonal local and international beer, perfect with its unique tapas menu! 🍟 P.S Their Poutine is my favourite!
This place was a great find. Not on our pre-made list of potential beer stops we came across when we had a wander round Chimes. We had one of the best beers we have EVER had there and everything we tasted was yummy and well...kept and served. The only thing stopping me from giving it a 5* review is that it is not a comfortable place to sit and drink beer - I like comfort! It was quiet when we visited at just after opening - late afternoon. Reasonably priced. They also serve a limited food selection but we didn't eat there.More
This is a recently opened bar specialising in craft beers, from a wide range of countries including Singapore. It was opened by Kenny Lee and a few of his friends including Caleb. Caleb is very experienced in the FnB industry and also cooks in the...restaurant. It is mainly Asian style tapas to accompany the craft beers. If you love your craft beer and want to experience something different then this is the place. My personal favourite beer is Fresh Haze IPA, hoppy and fruity. Delicious.More
