We went to Yarana at 3 different occasions from Nov 2020 to March 2021 and experience had been great. Brunch was really good, with one of the best Tandoori parathas and Punjabi Kadi. Holi menu was unique and had really good genuine taste of India...and really good service. New menu has some really good dishes from both North and South India, Veg and Non Veg combination. Location and service has always been good. Must try people.More

Fantastic new Indian restaurant. Very creative menu. Must try the gulab Jamun, lamb chops, chat and Chai, masala peanuts and papadum. Great view and food, friendly staff.

The drinks we wanted to try - Signature Cocktails, Bunta Soda Pop and Chuskis were not available - that takes out nearly half the drinks menu. So we settled for mojito and virgin mojito. Waited for more than an hour and reminded twice - was...then told that the kitchen didn't have the ingredients to make our drinks !! For food we ordered - Chai & Chat, Bombay Frankie and Barbequed Prawns. the second 2 dishes were ok, but chat was below average. And even after 2 reminders the chai did not arrive. For desserts, we wanted to try Bun Gulab Jamun (which is their signature dessert), Chocolate Golguppa and Sharabi Laddo. Was told that they don't have Bun Gulab Jamun so we settled for Kesar Gulab Jamun. Sharabi Laddo were ok. Chocolate Golguppa were too big (they should have been bite size considering they were coated with chocolate and filled with chocolate sauce). The Gulab Jamuns did not arrive !! But were added in the bill. We went today, 31 Dec, to have a relaxing brunch on the last day of the year - but I can't say I enjoyed anything when I had to constantly remind the staff of our missing items. Very poor service and average food overweighed the lovely location they are in. Never going back again!More

Dont normally write reviews, but this place deserves every bit of the praise. Changed our perception of indian food. It is refreshing to see innovative menu and reduced oil etc. The lamb chop meat was falling off the bone and barbecue chicken was DELICIOUS! Naan...and coconut prawn a must try! Super attentive and friendly staff, and top it off with chill out riverside seating. Encore session soon!!More

Good location and ambiance but the porton size was very very small and very overly priced. Vegetarian options are less in the menu considering it is primarily an Indian restaurant and the menu was very confusing. Will not go again.

I believe this is a relatively new restaurant and still working out the teething problems? We were invited by friends for a Sunday brunch and chose the vegetarian options - the Chaats and Prata/Roti were very good, tasty and authentic - definitely of high standards,...Unfortunately the food portioning was not thought through - being a brunch, all courses were pre-plated to share - serving the portion size for a table of two and a table of four/five is the same - this does not make sense. This was made correct for the starters but did not follow suite on the main course! Being COVID-19 aware, the discipline of personal hygiene and mask wearing were not complied by the staff - poor example set by the manager having an extremely relaxed attitude towards wearing masks, while constantly making excuses - "cannot breathe", "kitchen busy"... It is a real shame as this overshadowed the excellent food on offer.More

Not many in SG know there is a vibrant boarding school community in India, where regardless of which one you attended, you create a natural friendship bond and affinity that lasts a lifetime in most cases. The best memories from childhood to adulthood are eating...and drinking together at friend's houses, road side cafe's and restaurants, etc. One such place has recently opened in Singapore, conveniently located at the Stadium called Yarana. Started by a couple of boarding school alum, they bring together Indian "comfort foods" that we all craved as kids when school was in session. From dahi papdi, paranthas (aloo/paneer/gobi) to piping hot fluffy and crispy bhaturas with chola, kaadi/rice or rajma/rice, masala (spicy) omlette (which brought back memories of Harry Oms for this Mayo alum) to fresh lime sodas.... The finale was chocolate-covered golgappas served perched on top of shot glasses filled with choc sauce (with or without rum) HEAVENLY!!! What a concept; it was the perfect bit of crunch and sweetness to cap off a delicious, satisfying meal. If you are looking for amazing Indian food that just simply tastes delicious, this is a must try for all. You can thank me later!!More
