Staff was attentive and friendly. He even took time to explain the dishes and made great recommendations on food to order. 10/10 will visit again!
It was a wonderful experience. The Tanoke staff really took the time to help us out, and were very polite and cheerful. The food was wonderful. Light and full of flavours and colours
place got recommended from some of my local friends so we went to try out. we didnt really order anything off the menue….but asked the manager to make the call after we told him what we like ….the outcome was a first class surprise dinner...accompanied with a decent sake tasting and a never ending flow of sapporro draft. thank you very much narreenth. great job and thank you very much for your hospitality.More
Amazing food and exceptional service. If you are planning a private dining event, would highly recommend Tanoke as the team is professional and very accommodating. Thank you Zamzi and team!
Went there for my fiancé’s birthday and we were satisfied with the foods, environment and the service! Attentive and friendly staff, nice Japanese foods with reasonable prices.
Love their food there very much. Great service from the staff too. Will be back again with my friends.
Really good food and great customer service! Sake was fantastic!! Just ask for recommendations and you will be impressed by Nareen and Hui!! Will definitely come back!
Beyond delicious, well presented and just excellent Japanese cuisine and sake pairing. Hidden on a second floor and with only 6-7 tables, it’s really a secret jewel.
Set on the 2nd floor of. Shop house, there’s a cosy vibe that makes this the perfect venue for a long Sunday brunch. Although it’s quite small the seating is spread out to make the atmosphere not feel crowded but vibrant. Which brings us on...to the food which is equally intriguing, exciting and damn tasty. Starting off with burdock root strips deep fried to resemble tasty ‘chip-like’ snacks, which were moorish and light. That was followed by a lightly sauced baby’s sweetcorn and a ricotta cheese, tomato and sweet sauce starter that just oozed tasty vibes. We the. Dived into a jamon and egg sando which was soft but packed with tasty flavour. The Wagyu beef slices were also cooked to medium rare perfection and just melted in the mouth. And the meal wouldn’t have been complete without some truffle fries to keep the mouth munching. And to top it all off was free flow sake which was delicious and probably enhanced the foods flavour a little. But overall a great place to come for great vibes, good food and delicious sake. Not to forget the great service we had that made the whole lunch even more enjoyable.More
Casual dining place to enjoy modern Japanese cuisine with sake pairing. Love the starters eggplant with spicy dengaku miso and mains pork tomahawk. A must try for the Refeshing dessertS Shiso Lychee sorbet with umeshu and S'mores tartlet.
A treat of traditional Edo cooking with contemporary flair, fine dishes paired with sake, that had us begging for more! Chef Rio is a wonder and the wait staff (especially Nareenth) could not have been more helpful or knowledgeable with sake recommendations. The eggplant (Nasu...Dengaku) was simply the best we have ever tasted and the Gindara Habayaki (cod with miso) was delicious! We will most definitely return. Highly recommended!More
Booking system down but easy to book through texting. There are stairs so may not be the best for some. Small dining room so noise can transmit quite easily. Service very attentive and quick. Staff familiar with dishes and the sourcing of the produce. Reasonable...descriptions of the sake pourings. Went for a December set menu with multiple dishes in each course, four courses in all which included dessert. Food overall was of excellent quality, served well and tasteful. Most critique in the table was about style rather than if it was good or bad. For example the waygu marmalade was on focaccia. We all thought it would go better on thinner, harder more textured bread. The eggplant was very good but there was excessive oil. That was probably the only dish that had some scope for improvement. The wagyu platter was devoured quickly. No sauce required, surely a sign of quality meat done well. Pork was not dry. Fish so fresh. Desserts not excessively sweet and the matcha Panacotta was the highlight along with chocolate sake!! Not cheap but not the most expensive place in Singapore. Highly recommendedMore
Fantastic food, great food, best service. We tried the 4 course meal, with sake pairing. It was amazing! Thanks for the great experience.
Thanks SL2511 for your kind words and 5-star review! We hope to see you again soon.
Celebrated my wife's birthday at Tanoke. Service was fantastic. Naren was very patient in explaining the dishes, the sake pairing, and most of all made us very comfortable. Amazing experience! Love it!
Thanks Eric for spending that special occasion with us. We are glad it was great for you and can't wait to welcome you and your wife back!
