This is a delightful place to unwind. The cozy ambiance and attentive service create the perfect setting for a relaxing experience.
We visited on a Saturday for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by their affordable lunch menu. For $18.90, you can enjoy a soup, amuse-bouche and bread, a main course, and a drink. And $22.90 for a additional appetizer.
Despite being a lunch set, the main course portion is generous.

Hopscotch at Capitol Kempinski offers a lunch set menu at $22.90++, delivering value with refined flavors and creative twists. The Wild Forest Mushroom Soup is earthy and comforting, while the Lobster Bisque is rich and indulgent.
Among the appetizers, the Pan Seared Wagyu Cubes stand out with their perfect sear, and the Handmade Crab Cake pairs beautifully with the refreshing lemongrass guacamole.
For mains, the Lime Leaf and Coconut Prawn Malfadine Pasta shines with its fragrant Thai-inspired sauce, though the prawns were a tad tough. The Pangium Beef Bourguignon takes an interesting turn with buah keluak and Guinness port wine—initially a bit rich, but it grows on you, though a bit more beef would be nice. The Duck Confit is flavorful, but the red wine and foie gras sauce leans a little heavy.
For its price, Hopscotch’s lunch set is a solid option for those looking for elevated bistro-style dishes in a cozy setting.

Located just outside the historic Capitol Theatre, Hopscotch offers a fully air-conditioned and cozy environment perfect for a relaxing meal. The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the food doesn’t disappoint.
We tried their lunch set promotion at an incredible price of $22.90, which includes a soup, appetizer, main dish, and a drink. The Wild Forest Mushroom Soup was a standout, with a rich, creamy texture and a deep, savory flavor. For the mains, we indulged in a variety of dishes: the Duck Confit, Beef Bourguignon, Sweet and Sour Sticky Pork Ribs, and Malfadine Pasta. All were delicious, generously portioned, and packed with flavor.
What made the experience even more memorable was the Lantern Cocktail we ordered for my husband’s birthday. It’s a unique experience where you can write your wishes on a lantern and watch it glow with the flame and you enjoy your drink – a fun and immersive touch. We also topped up $7 to get the Chocolate Fudge Brownie for my son, and it was decadently rich with thick chocolate and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. It was pure indulgence!
With the affordable lunch promotion and the great food, Hopscotch is definitely a fantastic spot to gather with family or friends for a delightful meal. We’ll definitely be returning soon!

Had an enjoyable night after work here!
The steak was one of the best I have ever had - the brussel sprouts were crisp and the mashed potato was so well seasoned. Service by the staff was great as they explained the cocktails and taught us how to enjoy it. The food was also served quickly. Overall, I would come back again for the steak & the specialty cocktails 🍸

This restaurant is an exciting and unique spot - perfect for a fun night out. The cocktails here are crafted with a 'wow' factor and an unexpected creative twist, which makes the experience both entertaining and memorable.
I tried the Lucky Charm cocktail. The waiter, Thomas, shared the fascinating inspiration behind the drink. Apparently, the drink symbolises good luck! The drink was refreshing and strong, and I appreciated the overall theme of the drink.
For the main course, I had the Barramundi Fish and Chips. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the sambal tartar sauce added a tangy and delightful kick. The fries were perfectly crispy, which complemented the dish wonderfully.
What made the evening more enjoyable was watching Thomas present the cocktails that other diners ordered. The creativity of the cocktails added a lively and unforgettable touch. I could see that other diners were enjoying the show when I got my cocktail as well. I am already looking forward to coming back to explore more of their innovative drinks and see just how far they can push their creativity!

I had lunch set special with my friends here, so far so good; all the dishes are very yum! My favorites for the appetizer are the wagyu cubes and portobello mushroom with mozzarella; inside, it has lots of mushrooms as well, plus the bread complements the soup of the day so well.
For the main dishes, I love the duck confit and the chili crab pasta; they marinate so well and are tasty! We both love the place; also, the atmosphere and staff are very good. They keep topping up our water, which means they’re very attentive to their customers. :) Keep up the good work!

After shopping around Capital Piazza, we spotted HopScotch outside the Capitol Theatre. Cozy and spacious spot for family gatherings. They even prepare some toys and books for children. They have lunch special promotion and we decided to try it out. It’s turned out to be worth the price and exceed our expectations as we seldom found a bar with good foods! With $22.90, we got 4 meals (soup, appetiser, main and drinks) and top up $7 for the brownie with vanilla ice cream. We also got the lantern cocktail for my birthday hubby for the fun experience. We will definitely be back.

Was here to check out their lunch specials!
Located at the heart of town, the dining ambience is ideal for both lunch & after-work gatherings!
The set lunch comes with complimentary amuse-bouche & bread!
I tried these:
Wild Forest Mushroom Soup
Rustic & earthy flavor profile that celebrates the natural, rich characteristics of wild mushrooms.
Comforting & savoury.
Handmade Crab Cake with Lemongrass Guacamole
Delectable gourmet appetizer that combines the delicate, sweet flavor of fresh crab meat with a bright, zesty twist on traditional guacamole.
Black Garlic Alfredo Linguine Pasta
Rich & complex flavor profile that combines the creamy, savory goodness of traditional Alfredo sauce with the deep, umami-laden sweetness of black garlic.
Service was awesome, ambience was lit!

Visited Hopscotch with my wife over the weekend and had a lovely time over some really delicious food and homemade iced teas.
Their lunch sets are quite reasonable and have a lot of options to choose from.
We decided to go for their signature mushroom soup and for appetisers we tried wagyu beef bites and burrata salad which were quite tasty.
While the portions are small, the 3 courses keep you pretty full. We tried their lobster pasta and prawn pasta for the mains which were flavourful.
All in all, we had a really great time and would love to go back to try more of their mains.

I had the Lime Leaf and Coconut Prawn Malfadine. The Asian elements were evident - a unique blend of Italian pasta with accents of Green Curry. If you are one with a thing for experimental local-western fusions, Hopscotch @ Capitol will not disappoint! Food aside, I also really appreciated that the service was fast, prompt but unhurried - which was a pleasant surprise considering it was also the lunch hour.

Dropped by Hopscotch Capitol Arcade for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by their lunch set lunch menu. Opted for the chilli lobster pasta, which was well-executed—flavorful and nicely plated. The meal came with an appetiser soup and drink, adding a nice balance to the experience. The cozy ambiance and attentive service made it a great spot for a casual yet satisfying lunch. Wouldn’t mind returning to try more!

Had an amazing lunch with my girlfriends at Hopscotch Capitol!
✅ The fusion dishes were not only colorful and beautiful but also packed with flavor.
✅ The service was great and our food came out quickly
✅ The vibe is perfect for hanging out and chatting with friends
I also saw some gorgeous cocktails being made (we didn’t try them since we don’t drink), but they looked amazing.

Had a splendid experience here. Came here excited to try the cocktails, and it surpassed our expectations. The food was incredible too.
Had the Buttermilk Cereal Prawn burger which was such an incredibly put-together burger. The cereal batter meshed so well with the juicy prawns and i was left craving for more.
The cocktails were so fun and unique too, we ordered 3 in total.
The Homecoming was our favourite, with a cloud of cotton candy resting on top of the glass, with chocolate eggs on top. The cocktail itself was reminiscent to chng tng, a local dessert.
Summer Fling was served in a glass bowl, and the cocktail was a frozen slush at first, with exploding pearls and jelly. Since it was frozen we had to eat it with a spoon at the start, but as it melted we could slurp it with a straw. Really fun, sweet, and refreshing.
The last cocktail (alas i can’t rmbr the name) was inspired by Taiwanese lanterns. Similarly we could also write or draw our wishes on the exterior of the cocktail (white paper) and when done, the server lit it on fire. as it disintegrated it revealed the cocktail itself which was sweet and refreshing.
All in all we had such a great time and experience here - would definitely want to come back
