We went with no expectations whatsoever following friend's recommendation ( many of them have been diffsapointments so far ) and was absolutely blown away! Very simple place, down to earth design and casual dinning space but food told entirely different story. Chefs and that day...More

We were seated outside on a busy Friday night. We had several tapas dishes and shared a paella and beef short rib special. All the food was great. The beef short rib was huge with tender and juicy, nicely flavored meat. Our server picked a...More

Fantastic restaurant! We wanted to try out a tasting menu in Singapore but didn't want to pay over the odds for it and Esquina offers that! It's a relaxing but exciting atmosphere and the food was absolutely fantastic! It is well worth getting a seat...More

We came here for our valentine day lunch. Both my wife and I like the food and the prices is reasonable. Will visit again next time to try other items on the menu.

Do sit at the bar facing the chefs, this option is open for smaller diner groups and is well worthwhile. Larger tables are available upstairs but in reality this feels a little out of the way and I would suggest only for a large group....More

We only found this restaurant by accident when wondering around Jiak Chuan Road, and what a great surprise. Carlos, is a great young (looks 20'sh) dynamic Spanish chef, who should take full crate in creating some great Spanish dishes. Sitting at the bar (best place...More

Really good food. Like Omakase experience. Legit spanish chef who explains to you what everything is only for you not to understand. Nice place to drink wine and eat tapas. Spent $200+ for 2 people without wine though. So it's a bit pricey...

Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful
sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling
sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its
blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an
Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit
almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony
continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to
the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill.

Inspired by the colourful tapas bars found in Spain, ESQUINA offers modern Spanish tapas in a unique location surrounded by post-war colonial buildings, hip coffee joints and old-school home-style restaurants. Helming the kitchen is head chef Carlos Montobbio who has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants such as Celler de Can Roca (3 stars), Zuberoa (2 stars) and Cinc Sentits (1 star). Designed by Singapore-based Columbian architect Antonio Eraso, ESQUINA features a long communal bar and open kitchen with specially designed stools made in the UK.
