Kko Kko Na Ra (tanjong Pagar)
Review
About
Kko Kko Na Ra was one of the pioneer restaurant open in 2008. Most of the restaurant’s recipes are from Madam Lee’s (Korean owner) mother who lived in Jeon La Do which is one of the famous province from making the best dishes in Korea. The authenticity of Kko kko na ra’s recipe makes the restaurant stood up from their competitor. Kko kko na ra is one of the first to introduce the “Ma Neul Gan Jang” or Garlic Soy Sauce Chicken in Singapore served in wings & drums. The sauce is made of hand-crushed garlic and other secret ingredients that are imported from Korea. The preparation of the sauce took long hours, just to make sure that the taste of the garlic would be tastier when it spread through the fried chicken. The Crispy Soy Garlic Chicken is the best selling fried chicken of the restaurant and became the signature dish of the Company.

Ordered some soy, classic and spicy chicken for an office function, was so well received that we placed another order that same evening. It was peak hour at that time and we were very impressed by the restaurant’s efforts to have the food delivered to us ASAP. Thank you especially to Angeline!

Ordered a mix of fried chicken and the garlic chicken, they didnt disappoint. Had Army stew, which is hard to go wrong, we also ordered the grill beef, thought we are going to to have a chance to grill it ourselves but its came all grilled. Which helps but was a little disappointed. The seafood Korean pancake wasn't quite impressive this time round but the place is still great for gathering and meet ups. Service is fairly prompt so overall it was a good experience.

It was easy to find the restaurant because they had the sign in both Korean and English. For the first time I saw there Korean sign, I knew it was there. Staff were friendly and thoughtful. The restaurant decoration was cute. They were famous for fried chicken but when I saw the menu, most sets were for groups. So I chose japchae for dinner. When they brought it out, it was a huge dish. It was kind of strange because I never tried hot japchae before. It tasted really good although it was sweeter than I thought. Maybe it was because of the soy sauce they used. Kimchi was crunchy and fresh. Their tea was really fresh and cool

This place is good up to a certain extent its mix of oki service, bad service and a lack of customer support, care, and services lapses. Orders for mains were not served together, by the time food came in totality , the first delivery to the table had turned cold. I could go on but the most disappointing was chasing after a service staff for rice , leaving out table to ask for it three times and being told to excuse the bad service because the staff in question was not feeling well. The only saving grace : one member of the staff and the pickles offered. The rest wasn’t and I repeat wasn’t authentic as claimed.

We visited the outlet at Jewel & was really looking forward to enjoying great, authentic Korean cuisine. None of the dishes appealed in taste - the soups were either too salty or flat, the grilled meat came grilled & cut up before it reached us. Probably to cut down the eating time so as to generate more revenue & turnaround for dining tables. The fried chicken was a letdown too. Portions were pretty small so considered quite expensive for the prices but then again, no worries since food wasn’t great anyway.

We're truly sorry you bad experience in Jewel. We hope we can make it up to you if you visit our outlet in Tanjong Pagar.
Also, it would help all of us to be better if you can review it on their site so that they can understand customer's experience in their store. We thank you for your feedback.

Good: Kimchi, White rice, Soy garlic chicken
Bad:Spicy chicken (only spicy, no aroma) , Yangnyum chicken (weird sweet n sour sauce) , sundubu jigae (wayyy too salty and no other seafood except for 2 clams, but costs $18)
As a fried chicken outlet, their fried chicken FAIL. Only the soy garlic can make it, but also not impressive
Wayyy too expensive for mediocre food.
I recommend going for 4fingers,their fried chicken is much more delicious and half the price of kkokkonara.

Extremely bad service and irresponsible. I placed an order and was given an expected delivery time at 232pm. I called the restaurant at 235pm to ask if the delivery guy was on his way. They told me the driver had left ages ago and should be at my place within five. No one came so I called them again. They said they would check. They then called me up to confess that the delivery guy had actually not even picked up my food! WOW! So what happened? Did they forget to call the delivery guy? Do they not realise that people have a schedule? Why did they lie that the delivery guy had left with my order ages ago and was arriving very soon? This is terrible. I order delivery twice a week and have never encountered such a problem. This is my first time ordering from Kko Kko Nara. It will be my last time too.

No basic soup served,
Barley finds meats inside of hotot
Mainly covered by mushrooms and vegetables.
Too salty, the only waterfall view side of trees.
Hardly recommended

Authentic Korean restaurant. Price is slightly on the high end but you pay for the quality of the food.
Pork kimchi jjigae $20. Beef Dolsot Bibimbab $20. Jinro highball $13.
Life larger 500ml $12.

This popular Korean fried chicken restaurant is likely the best in town and their chicken taste just as good as takeout.
