Great coffee but seriously overpriced. All the food looked good but didn't eat any because I didn't want to take out a second mortgage to pay for it. You have to order from the table (normal for Singapore) we did but waited half an hour...for 2 take away coffees. Ended up ordering face to face because they didn't receive it. Its a hipster cafe and I guess it's good for "the gram." If that's you thing.More

Excellent banana bread and shroom toast! Though the coffee could be a tad stronger and more interesting as they do open as a coffee bar afterall.

The cold brew suks. Have a sour aftertaste (the taste is like cheap coffee powder mixed with corn. Have not taste that kind of coffee in the past 25-30 yrs). The seats were uncomfortable Food are overpriced, at least to me. French toast cost u...$12 and the cold brew $7 ($19) and that is before GST. Go to Y@ K_n much better coffee at cheaper price. Not recommended to visit this place. A simple "bread and coffee" set u back by $22.More

Went for brunch on Sunday and it was quite full with people queuing up. Nice environment and decor.Had one of the plates, with sausage, mushrooms, omelette, good but felt the taste was missing a punch and overpriced. The pain au chocolat was not to the...standards, fluffy and very crispy but tiny portion of chocolate, disappointed. The almond croissant , on the other way was fulfilling. Latte and flat white was good.More

My friend said the coffee here is very nice. Then we spent one afternoon here. Service was not up to standard. Staffs seem so lazy and not willing to serve. The environment is good and relax. Out of our expectations, staffs served food with plastic...cutleries.More

Great place for a cup of coffee. It has been here for some time. Happened to be around nearby, popped in for a quick dessert. Earl Grey tea was outstanding. Both desserts are on average side. Lovely atmosphere.

They have a wide selection of coffee and brunch. Ordered the cold brew white and flat white and they are really good. The ambiance is conducive for a nice conversation.

After trying their pandan pancakes once, my husband kept hankering after it. So I finally gave in and we went again to Chye Seng Huat. Not too keen on the location since we can't reserve a table and if it is crowded, there is not...much else we want to do or can do at the location. Fortunately, though there was a slight queue, there were sufficient seats since they have both indoor and outdoor seating. It was a bit difficult to order food using the software application, but the real disappointment was the pandan pancake. This time, both of us agreed that the texture of the pancake was not right - it was not firm and spongy (and neither was it soft and fluffy which is the other type of popular pancake nowadays) - it ended up tasting 'sticky', and sticking to the teeth. The amount of ice cream was not quite sufficient for the 4 pancakes. What saved the outing was the sticky fig pudding which was excellent - sufficiently moist and with enough ice cream to accompany the pudding.More

Came here for a coffee earlier in the month with a friend. Had to wait in line for about 10 mins to order: very inefficient. Coffee was reasonable. Remarkably popular cafe, but I don’t think it’s really worth the hassle of lining up to pay.
