Staff were very busy, but were going as fast as they could with a packed early brunch crowd. Unfortunately the kitchen did not make our server aware that they didn't have all ingredients to make a huevos rancheros as described on the menu. The only...1 item that appeared as per menu was the baked egg. It came with dry toast and a kinda fried potato ball. Very disappointing food wise, but the coffee was good and the service very friendly.More

I visited the bar with five friends. We were having a few beers and everyone decided to have some food. I checked the limited menu, but there was nothing there that fit my dietary requirements. I asked a staff member (who was very nice) and...he mentioned that there really wasn’t anything they could do for me. My friends all ordered and ate, and I went outside and got myself something which I made the mistake of taking back to eat with them. Turns out the owner was a table away and proceeded to verbally abuse me loudly in front of the other guests. If he had asked me quietly to take my sandwich elsewhere that would have been no problem, but instead he chose to make a scene and verbally abuse me. Absolute psychopath. Avoid this place if manners matter to you. I’d rather eat on the kerb of the road than take abuse from the vile owner. The food looked pretty bland too.More

The location & decor is cool & the staff are very friendly & helpful. The concept of an English pub & fare is great but firstly the bar is sorely lacking in good English ales. As for the food, is was well prepared & well...presented but was somewhat bland in flavour. The scotch egg was prepared to perfection but the meat & breakcrumb casing had no flavour! The "English mustard" wasn;t English mustard at all. The beef wellington was a little underdone & lacked the flavorsome pate. And to service English puddings with no hot Engloish custard is a crime. I really want to love this place & the staff & food were all of a high quality but they need to up their game on the flavours, English accoutrements & ales.More

Headed down for a family birthday lunch. Busy crowd despite it being a rainy afternoon. Orders of the day: - Scotch Egg & HP Sauce - Slow Cooked Oxtail Ragu Both dishes were absolutely lovely! Would definitely return for the Oxtail Ragu itself but I'm...not too sure if it's a seasonal or permanent dish on the menu.More

Five of us went there for breakfast on a Saturday, there were not enough menus given so I asked 'Do you have hot chocolate" and the owner cum waiter replied "We British won't give it to you unless you tell "please"".My friends were not very...supportive to leave as they were very hungry so I just politely said "one hot chocolate, please.my English is not very good". Then the owner cum waiter said "Sorry you had to put up with it, but we English like to be talked to this way". Now, I am a well over 40 year old Indian lady and from my accent he knows that English is not my first language not do I care to be British or Learn their ways in Singapore. Also, Rabbit Carrot Gun is not the only place that serves food in Singapore. I am never going back there ever again and I don't want to spend my money on such behaviour. May be he doesn't welcome Indians and wanted to make it clear so that I write this review and never come back, makes me think that might have been the intention. Anyway, me being the Indian, when he said "Sorry you had to put up with our ways", I smiled and replied "No problem <And a word in Hindi, which I can't write here> LOL. I won't go back where I have to take English lessons anyway , good riddance to bad rubbish!More

Went here with some friends and even though two of them were on time and had already ordered, the rest of us were hassled and verbally abused by the (British) owner or manager for being 15 minutes late. This was despite telling him he's speaking...rudely and being threatening to a pregnant lady. It really spoilt our mood but thankfully the food and drinks were good. Our advice: being polite goes a long way for first impressions!More

Being a breakfast nut my family coaxed next into tripping across to Rabbit Carrot Gun. It seemed like a nice enough place from the pictures. Not so much when you actually arrive. Greeted by an ( I think) Englishman, I first was shepherded to a...table right next to the road. Exhaust fumes and all promising to pepper my plate. On request of asking a seat inside was told - you are only 4, I have seats for 5 inside. , I then asked for one of the tables in the side alley. Begrudgingly was given one. The menu looked standard enough and I went ahead and asked for an eggs Benedict for my son and poached eggs for myself. That’s when the second push back came - see I like my eggs soft, the request was to make them soft and runny - answer - they come as they come! I mean, this isn’t a variation, all You need to Do is take them off 1 minute earlier - but no. Not only did it get flatly refused ( still baffled why)!!! They came as they came - hard nuts to crack just like the manager. Then the fun part, a reasonable request, can you serve the coffee with the meal and not ahead. Again, answer - it comes when it comes - they are separate operations and can’t be coordinated. Really, SpaceX rocked with a NASA ship and my coffee and bf can’t arrive together. Somehow I got a very obvious undertone of you can eat here but don’t demand anything. Eventually, they shifted us inside when it was obvious they whole place was empty and it got awkward for the owner/ manager. The cofffee came almost half way thru bf and the eggs - done hard over - just the way I don’t like them. But - it is what it is! NEVER going back there - resting uncooperative face, average food and average service - but prices - top class! Imagine if the check arrived and I said - will pay when can pay!More

Taxi prob 10-15 SGD or bus, a lot cheaper but obviously takes longer. If public transport then suggest you get Citymapper downloaded and a local network provider.
