Beautiful surroundings old colonial building. We sat on the veranda. The prawn toast was delicious and much improved on the usual as was the mushroom spring roll. Also had soft shell crab and a chicken chilli dish with cashew. Really full and happy.

Really enjoyed this restaurant. The outdoor seating is comfortable and relaxed, with a really lovely atmosphere created by the music, outdoor plants and of course the charming black and white building itself. The staff were attentive, the food delicious! Highly recommend.

we are vegetarians so we had limited options to choose from the menu.We ordered Jade fried rice which lacked in flavour, basically they were tasteless .along with that we ordered dumplings which can be easily forgettable . Had also ordered a cocktail - Jaiselmer Gin which...was the worst cocktail I ever had. so in all not a good experience and also found it overly pricey!!More

This was our second visit to Dempsey Hill and our fried recommended The Chopsey Cafe. We had missed our reservation as we had to change plans so when we asked for a table he obliged but said last order. The only negative thing was the...kitchen closes at sharp 9:30pm and the chef doesn't accommodate any order after that. But the food was to die for and so it made up for the lack of accommodation of time. The drinks were amazing and the overall Vibe of the place was just too good . Would recommend this place as a must visit, only hope the chef accommodates last orders as we Indians are used to eating latter after we have had a couple of drinks 😁More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our neighbours and it didn’t disappoint. The ambiance is great, and we managed to get an outdoors table on a nice (not so hot) night. Between the 5 of us, we chose 3 starters and 5 mains and...they were more than enough as the serving portions are generous. We liked everything but the consensus in terms of favorites include the duck meat in pancake, beef rendang, honey ginger chicken, barramundi in lime sauce and char sieu kurabota pork. Will definitely be going back. And did I mention that the service was good? Thank you Eric and Rose.More

The building itself is very impressive and we had high expectations of this restaurant., however the food and the service let it down. The wait staff were very amateurish and did not seem to know what was going on. I had the dumplings and rendang...of which both were ordinary at best. Overpriced for what we got, Wish we had gone to a hawker marketMore

Chop Suey Cafe Dempsey, Dempsey Hill: You can’t go wrong with PS Cafe - they score A’s for styling, food, presentation and ambience. Faultless. Almost. This time, we were seated near a spot that smells like pee! But the cafe was so busy and we...needed to return the table in an hour. So we held our noses with pegs. And focused on the beauty of dining in a garden - the dance of sunlight on the generous green foliage that greets the front of the cafe. Chop Suey gets the pedestrian Asian street fare right, which is hard as you expect haute twists. But the efforts go towards the sauces and seasonings. Followed by neat presentations. Portions are huge. So do a litmus test of a few before you add on. We certainly suffered from the “eyes bigger than stomach” ailment here. Pad Thai salad, honey glazed eggplant and vegetarian hor fun were our selections. Pad Thai salad was an amazement of high hits of sour and sweet flavours. Eggplant understood textures well washed in the savoury flavours of soy. If you’re into refined asian street fare with the PS Cafe signature style of classy ambience, Chop Suey is your spot. #eatstylishtravelstylishMore

We had dinner at night and the terrace is great, but the table was filthy - sticky and dirty. I would have expected they would move us to the empty table next to us, while I washed my hands - instead they wiped around the...paper menus......not a good start. the tofu was in a very sweet sauce, the pork satay was fatty (usually I love satay) but the sauce was good, the prawn toast were basically samosas (so-so). the waitress was not up on the food or the wine-list. So all in all pretty disappointing bearing in mind the rave reviews we heard from friends. not sure if we will go back. price was high as expected, but not crazy.More

We found the restaurant located in Dempsey Village to be very quant. On a Sunday evening it was not very crowded. They have seating inside, on a closed Veranda and outside under a canopy. The service was friendly and attentive. Most of the cocktails were...were price post $20 but were nicely made. I had an Aperol Spritz and found the mix of Aperol and Prosecco perfect. We went for the Mushroom Spring Rolls and were quite pleased. The main course of honey ginger chicken, prawn noodles and string beans were perfectly made. We polished everything off with sticky date pudding. All in all great food and nice ambience. I would definitely recommend it. Our bill for three was $181. So yes it is a bit pricey.More

Blissfully Tasty & Modern Fusion. I came across this charming modern Asian fusion cafe by chance in midst of a desperate pandemic getaway and home cooked meal. The first impression was snobbish yet inviting. Second was heartfelt and then it was history. Though disappointed by...the limited selection of fresh juices 🥤on the menu, I was attracted to the blissful retrospective ambience, paired with a heartwarming mixed playlist of signature homemade and hawker dishes. The ones that stood out to me were the Chilli Crab, Hainanese pork chop, Hor-Fun and Iced Longan Tea. I would love to try them one day! Instead, I chose the modern spring chicken and stir-fry Broccoli. Surprisingly, it instantly became my favourite. I hardly get to eat broccoli this way locally. It’s simple, no- fuss and refined! xxMore

This is our 1st time dining in this restaurant. Heard many good reviews thus we have high expectations. The food is not as delicious as everyone has described. All the dishes ordered are quite sweet. The crispy duck pancake is good but the portion is...not enough. Service is acceptable. Personally, I would think the food & beverages are overly priced.More
