It's been a long while since I visited Carpenter & Cook. They used to have excellent croissants but most of their outlets have closed, except this one near Beauty World. The deco is very cute and cosy, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful....I tried their Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon and Greens. The egg was done nicely and not overcooked, while the bread was pretty crispy. I also had their Crab Meat Pasta, as it was more unusual andnot the typical pasta. The crab meat was fresh, bit the gravy was a bit watery. Guess it is like a fusion kind of pasta with some feel of being homemade. Their pastries and cakes looked very enticing, but i did not have the space for dessert. With The ENTERTAINER app, i got a 1-for-1 deal (for main course and brunch). #choowai2021 #wongchoowai #wongchoowaieats #carpenterandcook #pasta #eggsbenedict #crabmeat #sginstagram #sgfoodbloggers #sginfluencer #sgfoodinfluencers #brunchsg #brunch #goodlunch #sgfoods #theentertainer #entertainersg #hsbcentertainerMore

Lots of good energy here, the perfect place to chill and have a delicious brunch. A carefully decorated café, very pleasant staff, super good dishes, all adds up to a delightful experience. Will visit again when in Singapore.

Just 5 min walk from Beauty World MRT, there’s a block where you can find a few cafes - and this is one of them. My favourite place to chill over a cup of coffee and a tart. I ordered Club Sandwich and I loved...it a lot. The bread was toasted until very light and you can get full satisfaction from the fillings. A lot of avocado with bacon and ham, and it comes with salad. What I also liked is that it does NOT come with fries which keeps me healthy.More

The decor of this cafe, with all the old items on display created the look and feel of an antique shop. I think the owner takes a lot of pride in all these possessions. Coffee was good. We had a black coffee and cafe latte...- both aromatic and quite full body. The cafe looked quite dark from the outside so it is easy to miss it if you are just passing by.More

This is a really cool and eclectic place with a small ‘Katong’ swing outside the cafe and lots of old collectibles from yesteryears. Love the bookshelf there where you’re encouraged to take a book for free, and replace one the next time you visit.

Interesting shop, lots of kitch items on display and each table is different. Great looking food and the coffee was good. Service was only ok. I understand the no outside food concept, but I experienced a bad example of its application here when a mum...and child that come in and the child was eating a scoop of ice cream in a cup. Guys really ?!? Pick the right time/situation to apply this rule, this was not the time.More

I have a picky child who loves this cafe coz their treats are absolutely delicious. She loved the fruit tarts and the lemon cake and I loved the salmon and avocado croissant.

Had an earl grey lavender cake ($8) together with a Contessa Grey tea ($6.2). The tea was a tea from Gryphon, nothing to shout about but I really did like the unique flavour of it not served in other cafes. The cake, however, was really...pretty good, so much so I forgot to take a picture until I was almost done with it! Tried the lemon cream tart ($6.80) on a previous occasion too and that was really amazing. Lemon tart's definitely a must try! Would return, no gripes except for the rather steep prices.More

Perfect place to enjoy a good cup of coffee and desserts! The staff were really friendly and they were really helpful in giving me recommendations on what’s good and all. Personally thought their lemon cakes are nice! Not too sweet and you get to taste...the citrus flavours. The Nutella series feels really homely as well :) Overall, great place to chill with friends on a weekend!More

I love the freshly baked ham and cheese croissants, pies and tarts. I specially love the eclectic setting with the quirky furniture and nick nacks which one can buy and take away. Ambience is great for a chit chat session Service is informal, friendly and...relaxing . No standard fare of furniture and one can sit on the low sofa, long table or in a cosy corner to read , sip coffee and sample the home baked fares all done on the premises. If you are fortunate you can meet the owner who is also the chef , a beautiful young lady, energetic, passionate and very friendly. Reasonably priced and on special occasions freshly baked cookies to commemorate the occasion are sold. Love especially the chinese new year cookies depicting the paws of dogs as 2018 is a Doggy year.More
