Wagyu striploin, buah keluah, confit shallot is the kind of menu item a character from the coming-to-your screens soon Hollywood adaption of Crazy Rich Asians might order. Don't let that put you off, Ding Dong's nouvelle-sized fusion food hits the spot. Like Ho Lee Fook in Hong Kong, it has an attitude about old attitudes. That means deserts like Coconut... More

highly rated and delivered. although we found this difficult to find the circuitous route and extra walking was rewarded by a very nice meal and cold beers. small shared plate style dining was exactly what we needed and enjoyed immensely.

We opted for the "feed me" menu and enjoyed every one of the 6 courses. The only item that we thought could have been improved was the tuna which we deemed a touch over-cooked and therefore rather dry. The speed of service was great...we never felt like we were waiting and never felt rushed. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.... More

We are not dessert persons. So we took the two course meal of appetiser and main course for lunch (S$ 35 per person). Add S$10 and you’ll get daiquiri. All of the main course are served with rice (it’s Asian, after all) and they are all superb. Although, as any fine dining, the portion is small. The service is excellent.... More

Ding Dong - with the strains of ' a go go ' music in the background, is a pleasant trip back to yesteryear . Interesting & innovative takes on old - time favourites, the re interpreted classics aim to please . The tapas - sized servings worked well so we could try an assortment of items. Good place for bites... More

Enjoyed the lovely ambiance, good music and kind staff. The menu was not very easy. Sharing platters with 2 or 3 items on it, are not very group friendly. But over all good experience, which would go again.

It's a cozy restaurant with yummy food and friendly staff. We had the set lunch menu and it's price is a little pricey for lunch. However food was really good. We had the hamachi sashimi for appetiser and it was really refreshing and tasty. Our mains of wagyu beef and braised pork collar were really tender and flavorful. Lastly we... More

Amazing place to dine with friends or that special someone. My friend and I were sat at the bar which gave us great front row seat to the bar and the chefs. The cocktails were great and even for myself who was not drinking there were able to whip up some cracking stuff for me to enjoy. The chefs were... More

My friends wanted to try some asian food so I searched on the entertainer app and found Ding Dong, a funny name for a restaurant. I was pleased to find it nicely decorated with a retro feel. The food was good but not very filling! We ordered the lobster tail from the "Big Plates" section thinking it would be good... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
