Noisy & impersonal. The restaurant was full, Unfortunately we picked the same night as a group of young girls who insisted in screaming at every opportunity. The surroundings we spoilt by all the nois. We had 3 different waiters on the night each time having...to repeat our names and what we were doing there. The food was average, once we were out, the ‘surprise’ factor was spoilt by the table next door who discussed the meal they had just eaten with the waitress so by the we got to discuss we had already found out what the meal was? Amazing food that played with texture, taste and temperature! I think it’s the experience that make it special though— you’re very much paying for the atmosphere, connection with your date, interacting with amazing visually impaired or blind servers who are incredible at what they do,...having your other senses heightened, guessing what the food is— everything is so thrilling and novel. Very accessible and manageable with great grounding comfort elements (chair was nice with a nice high backing, wall beside you), blind or sight-impaired servers were so efficient, professional and FRIENDLY, huge shoutout to Erena/Erina (sorry didn’t get the spelling) for her humour, kindness and warmth! The whole experience is really wonderful, it really gave me an insight to what it’s like without the sense of sight. The food portions were just nice and they do switch up the menu every 2 months. The dining area is pitch black but don’t...worry, service was amazing. Yes you are eating in pitch dark, you can literally not see your own hands or just anything. The restaurant isn't that big, probably room for like 10 tables or so. Bernard is a good host but it feels like he is doing this on...an automatic pilot, just business as usual. Sure he is friendly and professional but his approach feels like you are number 143 in line. The food isn't amazing either. It feels the plates are already pre made, the temperatures of the food is lukewarm and doesn't feel like the chef just cooked it. The the flavors are quite generic, nothing bad certainly I didn't feel my taste buds were activated as you would expect eating in the dark. The restaurant is located in South East Asia so one would expect to taste some local ingredients but instead, it is very generic food. More French oriented, good tasting but nothing spectacular. The opportunities are so large, so many exciting exotic flavors they could use, but it is very standard. Then the price is extremely high, 300 S$ for 2 person is really extreme.
