Signature Lobster Porridge for 2 and 3 diners cost $39.90++ and $58++ respectively. A male service staff took an order of a dish erroneously. He submitted our entire order without first confirming it with us. As a result, we had to pay an additional $30 for an extra dish that we neither wanted nor liked.

7 pax but the 3 Lobster(halves) Porridge enough for 6. Restaurant could have offered per pax portioning by topping up a little. The Kurobata Pork truffles with sesame sauce very tender. The menu should have pictures so we don't have to imagine what the dishes look like and makes ordering easier.

Chosen the Beauty World outlet specially to try the limited time Christmas menu which comprises of theTwin Appetizer Platter (Cold Abalone & Crispy Lobster Roll), Signature Lobster Porridge, Hokkaido Scallop with Ice Plant in Sesame Truffle Sauce, Steam Empurau Fish and Thai Coconut Pudding with Superior Birds' Nest. The appetizer was alright (nothing special but was served piping hot), the ice plant with the scallop is interesting with a unique crunch. The 2 mains, Lobster Porridge and Empurau Fish, were our favourite. When the lobster porridge was first being served, it tasted bland. However, after letting it settled for a while and stirring it gently, the fragrance and sweetness started lingering.  The broth/soup tasted awesome! Just that the lobster looks pretty small. The Empurau fish was well handled and retained its original freshness. We love it for sure! The whole meal ended well with the dessert. Will be back for sure. As for the restuarant ambience, it's pretty simple and nothing much to comment.

We made an order with our order below. Delivery was between 5.30-6pm. Driver claim she was here but the bell never rang. We called Wan He Lou, and they were beyond rude. Driver said she had to do other deliveries and will only arrive at best 7.30pm. Our food would be on the road for over 2hours and restaurant did not offered refund or cancellation of order. Said the same food will be delivered to us when driver can make it. It’s almost a cheat case.

booked Mother’s Day lunch set (Gratitude set 6pax $350 after gst and service charge) with Wan He Lou, both of their food and service were just horrible. I remember their food was good, but this time, it was a total disappointment. Only 6 tables of guests and the staffs seem unable to cope with it. Staff were slow and blur, after we finished the food on table, we waited another 40 mins for the last two dishes to be served. Out of all the dishes, only the lobster porridge was acceptable. Seafood Gyoza was soggy, Cod fish stinks, chef style's smoked duck was worst than the smoke duck we can get from Cold-storage. Ordered Iron Buddha tea but served with chrysanthemum tea, later we ordered mineral water but it didn’t come at all. Absolutely ruined our Mother’s Day celebration.

Ordered their delivery for my mum Birthday. Food was average. Lobster Porridge was a really big disappointment. But what's worst is their customer service/service recovery. On the very last min when the food was going to dispatched from their restaurant they call and told me that that one of the dishes was unavailable due to their stock not arrived and they would issue a refund. To me its unacceptable , if stock is unavailable you could have let me know days before the delivery or even in the morning or at the very least hours before the delivery to give me source for alternative food etc.. What's worst is they don't even find any wrong in this way of doing business. I would not recommend ordering their take away. Dinning might taste better but service definitely turn me off. And i recommend you avoid before having your day ruined.

Though their signature dish is the lobster porridge, we didn’t ordered it cos of skin allergy! Instead we made do with simple food of claypot sea cucumber, shell fish (lala) soup, 3 types of fried peas & deep fried lotus roots in salted egg batter eaten with plain rice. A refreshing light lunch in a simple setting served by skeleton crew of 2 staff. Will definitely try the porridge next round.

The ambience of the restaurant and mood was excellent, above all their service is extremely good. Because before I arrived I had a flat tire and I worried my reservation will be cancelled, however upon calling the restaurant they gave me the assurance not to worry my reservation is still in placed for me.When we arrived they assigned us a table and the food is marvellous

No chinese wine, no sho-chu, only canned beers. I checked menues two days before, but totally different. This is a business dinner, that's why I checked before, but totaly different. And we needed to wait a lot to order dishes. We need to call the staff again and again. This is one of my worst experience for services. Tastes of dishes are excelent, including the porridge, but the services has become worse.

Of course the lobster porridge is the best, but there were deep fried lotus root which was also delicious. They did not have draught beer which is why my Japanese tourist friends were disappointed but the food was quite something. The dessert was a little boring as well but their main dish redeems them and so they deserve the 5 rating!

We came here regularly, at lease 4-5 times per year at lease. We alway order 2 lobsters per porridge. The broth is incredible, very addictive. Per head is about $36, plus a small Tiger beer.

We had the lobster porridge, dragon vegetables, kurobuta pork and Cod fish for 4 of us. The lobster porridge, dragon vegetables and kurobuta pork was excellent. The Cod fish, we thought was rather expensive. Total came to around $50+/head. The ambience is rather ordinary.

Authentic local Chinese fanfare It was a fuss-free good food casual dining experience for me and my friends. We were pleasantly surprised that besides the Signature Lobster porridge, there were many other variety of home made dishes! The tofu and fried lotus root crisps were our favourite!

I often visit Wan He Lou Restn for birthdays, Christmas & get-to-together celebration. Their signature dish lobster porridge is always our favourite. Whilst other dishes are not salty, fresh & flavourable. Keep up with its excellent standard. It'll be better if there're more new dishes for our selection. Service is commendable.
