We have been big fans of the UOB Centre branch since its opening, and tried out delivery service from this outlet during Circuit Breaker. While food quality for takeaways is always a notch down and although they don’t have many of our fav dishes (like pork belly in chilli), it’s still pretty yummy - one of the best Sichuan restaurants outside China. Delivery was also on time, with eco friendly packaging.

Went with wife on valentine's day. We forgot that it was still the Chinese New Year period and so like many Chinese restaurants, SCDH had a pricer limited ala carte menu. We had the Deep Fried Diced Sichuan Chicken, Spicy Venisen, and French beans fried with minced meat, which were all very nice. We were disappointed that they didn't have their usual bean curd for dessert. Instead they had a pricier purple rice bean curd with red bean. It was served in with dry ice which made it look more spectacular but taste wise it was just ok.

Very good service, staff really friendly and attentive. Food quality is great. Really enjoy the food here can even ask for food not on menu, the chef and staff are very good in recommending. Love the abalone claypot stew rice.

The “nostalgic dim sum buffet” was something that we would consider very mediocre for the price paid ($56++ and $5++ for tea) and there’s a time limit of 1.5 hours(11.30am-1pm) for a table of five for celebration. The time limit was not made known to us when we made the reservation - typically the other restaurants will inform us if there’s two different seatings and as a result we were rushing to finish the food as we arrived slightly late and also have to wait for them to serve the food.
Ambience was alright but not as nice as the other Sichuan Douhua. Service was ok but not very attentive and friendly.
Finally the food. It was alright and though some of the dim sum look exquisite we do not find it to be especially nice. Some of the items were hard and dry when served (especially the one in the photo). There were few dishes that allowed one serving each like the abalone and spiky sea cucumber. Taste of it was ok but can’t really find the “sea cucumber” in the soup. The abalone siew mai looks expensive but taste was ordinary. The dim sum variety was not a lot though the desert selection was good.
Overall, would recommend you to have dim sum buffet elsewhere as for this price (there wasn’t any applicable credit card discount as they said it’s a buffet) and you may have a better quality and not rush if it’s for a bigger group.

The quality of the food is good, but it is not hot when served. Feels like its been prepared and left aside for awhile before served.
The prawn dumplings filling is mixed with bits of coriander which is not to my liking as i personally do not like the taste/smell of coriander.
The superior broth (limit to one serving per pax) is worth trying, thick and rich with ingredients. Tried the spicy diced chicken and mala mapo tofu which is equally awesome.
Service is excellent too as we are seated less then 3 mins upon arriving at the restaurant. Waiting time for the food is acceptable too.

Visited this restaurant for dinner few days back. Overall food tasted salty. Ordered the fried prawns, head was big but body was so much smaller. There isn’t much meat. The sea cucumber has a weird staunch taste. Food taste standard has dropped compared to last visit. Only the combination platter tasted good. Not sure if the Chef has changed. Food variety hasn’t change much compared to one year ago.

We have an amazing time every time we're here. Food is consistently good (the stir fried wagyu beef cubes are a particular highlight) and the attentiveness of Wing, May, Yen Nee and team make the restaurant a credit to the hotel as a whole. The lad who tops up your tea using the long spout teapot never stops being impressive.

Lovely to be back again after such a long absence due to COVID19 restrictions. Where else to get such variety of food passionately done by Chef Leung??? Every item consumed is simply unforgettable...Attentive all round staff despite having a busy restaurant going on.. Food was really really great...Can't wait to return once upgrading finished upstairs.

A great experience - the staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and always looking whether we needed anything. The restaurant looks pleasant, not feeling crowded in spite of reaching full capacity, and the food was really very good. Chong Qing diced chicken was fantastic - crispy and full of flavour. The Kitchener Rd. branch of the Dou Hua Sichuan Restaurant group is the best. Will surely be returning.

Ordered 2 types of soup, clear and thick - both were so salty. The lotus fish cake was fried with too much oil, rendering it soggy.
The crab meat fried rice we had was too flaky and hard. Perhaps the rice had been drying up in the fridge.
The siew Mai was tasty. The prawn wrapped in bean curd skin has a good blend of texture and the roast dish was good, pork was crispy and lean part was delicate.
Payment was slow and so there was a queue and waiting time of about 20 mins.

Splendid dinner - excellent food & service from zhihao and team. We also managed to meet chef Wing Cheung, he is so passionate and enthusiastic about the food that was presented to the customers.
Everyone there was so attentive to details and always bringing positivity. I'm very certain I will be coming back again!

The food at this restaurant is really top notch. Prices are fair given the quality. Portions are generally family-size.
Service at both the Kitchener Road and the UOB outlets is however so-so: really long waiting time (count on 45 mins) and it is often hard to get the attention of staff, soup is served after main dish, main dish without rice ( though it was ordered) etc..

We excitingly booked for Nostalgic Dim Sun Feast to bring our parents. When we were seated, we were told that the one serving menu would be taken care of and we could order the unlimited menu by scanning QR code with unique numbers at each table. This system is good and we like the ease. We are surprised that food served not long after ordering but when we finished what we ordered from the unlimited we were left puzzled as all others tables served with the one serving dishes and we haven’t got any of it. We told a waitress about it and she left without coming back.
We then approached the supervisor. Patricia approached us and before I can finished my sentence, she cut with “你们order什么？” So all we could reply is a simple “buffet”. Patricia left without saying anything and she didn’t tell us what happened. She went pass us times and we decided to looked at her, to remind her that there’s a pending question here. She noticed, she said “你们点的东西进了！” while walking away. Just like that! Not even a stop and we definitely would not be expecting a polite service for her. We were shocked with this terrible attitude. Then we noticed the way Patricia served other patrons is the same, impatient and rude. We booked for this experience expecting a decent lunch with elderly and we are paying for it. It’s in Parkroyal mind you.
On the other hand, Kavi that served us tea is your valuable asset. She kept our tea filled and she kept checking with us if we have our orders served. She also explained more on the food, and did very well small talks with patrons. We expressed our grievances on Patricia and Kavi apologized on behalf. She assured us that she’ll personally taking charge on our table. Patricia definitely need to learn from Kavi in service line values.
Will we return to Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant @ Parkroyal Kitchener Road? Definitely not. But if we get to know where Kavi works next, we would love to visit her again.

When I visited this restaurant with my family, I did not have much expectations as I had yet to hear much from this restaurant. To my surprise the 和牛 (beef) dish was really good (really really nice and tender and very well marinated👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼) and the soup of the day was also really pleasant. The highlight of the whole dinner was in fact the Sze Chuan Vegetable that was served as a starter dish. Tasted super good and when I asked one of the staff, Zhi Hao, he told me that they made the dish in house. The staff here was also very attentive to our needs and changed our plates regularly as well as refilled our water. I loved this dinner very much and I would be here again soon:>>>
Side note: The 辣子鸡 (Stir Fried Chicken Bites in Chilli) when asked for less spicy, was still super duper spicy so just take note:")) bit if u can take spice well, it's good and very addictive!!

Visited the chinese restaurant (Sichuan Dou Hua) with another 2 friends. The food surpringly turned out better than expected. The sweet and sour pork taste and texture was just right and the portion was reasonably generous. The dessert that was shaped in 'yuan bao' perhaps in conjunction with CNY theme was not only creative but tasted right and not too sweet.
We were there on a weekday night, crowd was still manageable. I would like to mention special thanks to Yennee and May who were attentive to our needs and also help us to take photo.
