Love this place so much! Such a wide variety of authentic, tasty and very affordable Asian food & drinks. The Passionate Strawberry Soda for instance (see photo) is truly delicious. It's a challenge sometimes to find great vegetarian food. This place really offers great options :)

Opened by the breadtalk group, this is a place to go if you want to try local food all in one place. Many of the dishes here are not bad, but pricey compared to other food courts. Dishes I would say are ok- prawn noodles. I usually come here for the salted bun or butterfly. Both are dough fritters usually enjoyed with soya bean milk. Good place where you can get vegetarian food and for families as they have high chairs.

My partner tries to stay away from white rice because they inflame his joints. Not good when eating out in an Asian country. Usually when we think of places selling brown rice, we think of healthy food or vegetarian, but here we actually found an 'economy' rice stall that has a brown rice option, with all the usual options of meats and vegetable dishes. Yes, it's pricier here but we are willing to pay a little more for something healthier.

A great assortment of local food available, albeit at inflated prices due to its location. Also be prepared to wait for your food for popular outlets. Additionally it is very difficult to find a table during regular meal times. At least it is airconditioned.

The popular foodcourt at Ion. Came at 3pm for lunch and it was still crowded. Like the carrot cake, beef noodles and fishball noodles stalls. Avoid the chicken rice stall, very average

You can get a lot of different things at different price points. As an added plus, there are a lot of stores (wide price point and variety of items) in the same mall. It's fun to go to and spend time - especially when it rains!

I chose East Coast Lagoon ... well regarded for their prawn specialities. I love the regional favorite Laksa..& I went for the Nyonya style king prawn version .. watch out if you try it : I particularly told the order person I didn’t want SHELLS.. but somehow my dislike turned into the order itself - which infuriatingly I didn’t realise until I’d found a table & it was too late!...grrr. But the rich broth was super complete with terrific noodles & the obligatory egg too! Value plus at $9 50( inc tax!)

Our lunch at Food Opera Ion Orchard was lovely. The place is nice and has a lot of cool food options. The variety is quite good and the food looked and tasted great. I enjoyed the Indonesian BBQ, which was really nice. The ambience of the food court is nice and there are ample places to sit around. The other dishes we ordered were also delicious. Price wise it seems a bit on the higher side, but worth it.

Juice Bar - I ordered the papaya with milk. After I collected my drink and started drinking it I realised that the plastic cup was 100% full of ice with the drink being a small amount. However, what drink there was tasted very bland with just a hint of papaya. So disappointed.

Please DO NOT get a juice from the juice bar in food opera at Ion shopping centre on Orchard Rd. They refused to give me an ice free drink . The unfriendly man serving wasn’t in the mood for my no ice request and told me I must pay a dollar more for no ice , but that I was suppose to ask for it before my transaction went through , so they couldn’t do it. I paid for celery , carrot and beetroot juice . He charged me extra for the beetroot . His college juiced celery and a small slice of beetroot , no carrot. I asked if she’d put the carrot in . She said she had . I didn’t see any carrot go in and the drink colour was light pink translucent water. It was already watered down in my opinion before of ice. It was tasteless. I am a silly for not disputing the water, the ice and lack of carrot in that moment I received and tasted it. The server / boss had told me I had to pay for no ice since it meant I’d get more juice . I explained I was cold under the strong aircon so was happier not to hold a cup full of ice, plus I preferred to enjoy an undiluted juice. At one point his college offered me a smaller sized cup for a juice with no ice and I was grateful ,but the he told her that it wasn’t possible. He was dismissive after that and carried on talking to his friend on the outside of the juice bar who it felt like I’d interrupted when he took my order which put him in a bad mood . I guess he thought I was a tourist and wouldn’t be back so I got it the way he decided I would have it, ultra cost effective . It didn’t feel like good customer relationship . Afterwards I met a neighbour on Orchard road who thought I was drinking a pink slushy because the drink so diluted. Plenty of juice bars around who don’t add water and who’ll ask if you want ice before explaining that it is a dollar more. And also before your transaction so that they’re not paying a further bank fee to add on your extra dollar extra . Unfriendly server who isn’t interested in building customer relationships . One last thing . The celery looked gritty and dirty . I didn’t see it washed it before it went through the machine and the machine wasn’t comprehensive looking enough for it to do it during the juicing process . This is ION! With otherwise the best customer experience for a shopping centre in Singapore . Where I’d just turned down a free coffee in the Nespresso store because I decided I’d like a healthy juice ! Save yourself the bad personal experience and just watch it from the side line next time you’re at ION. I’ve otherwise previously had good food in the surrounding food outlets in FOOD OPERA !

A various choice of food and bubble teas to choose from if you have been shopping around in the mall! Tried the hainanese chicken with rice which came with the broth in a separate bowl and it was delicious!

The food variety is less than before. Some my favorite stall is gone. Satay no more. The price even more pricey. Better eat other Food Court.
