This is an alternative to the normal Western tea sets or tea-time buffet. The tea room has been renovated but is still a part of the larger restaurant, Si Chuan Dou Hua. There is only one tea set menu, the dishes were okay and it includes a Christmas cocktail. We ordered a bottle of bubbly and the waitress had to hunt down some bubbly flute for us. Overall, it’s quite a novel setting for tea and the view is great when you peer out the window.

We went for high tea on a weekday at Tian Fu at UOB Tower, The new lounge is modern and comfortable but I rather miss the old version with its bamboo and Chinese wood furniture. The high tea comes with a cocktail, two kinds of tea, dim sum and noodles. Don’t plan on having dinner after that! The teas were fragrant and good quality and the dim sum all juicy and pleasant. The signature bean curd is as smooth as ever. The custard roll was the only item that fell short. All in all this is a pleasant, civilized and high tea that is low in sugar and high in protein.

The one-for-one offer of the high tea set at the Park Royal location in Beach Road was great value at $38++. Though not immediately located as the restaurant is not part of the Park Royal Serviced suites and you need to use the door at the side for entry, the tearoom itself is beautifully decorated in traditional Chinese style giving off a calm and refined ambience. We ordered a different pot of tea each, the Lingzhi Beauty tea a soothing concoction of guozhi, longan, chrysanthemum while the other, Da Hong Pao was exceptionally fragrant. Conscientiously topped up by our elegantly-dresses server who also identified each of the dishes for us. The first was a chilled shrimp and cucumber roll, delicately flavoured like all the other dimsum which followed, about 7 or 8 items in all including spring roll, various pastries, Beifang shuijao, the signature smooth-as-silk chilled dohua and our favourite, the artfully twisted strands of meesua in a chilli oil sauce. The high culinary standard, presentation and setting made this a memorable Chinese style high tea. We shall certainly come again to enjoy their a la carte offerings at lunch and dinner!

Great place to spend the morning relaxing or chit chatting with friends. They have all sorts of Chinese tea and they also have a high tea set menu. This is very different from what all the hotels offer in town which are very westernized or a lot of food. It is nice to come here and experience a more Chinese concept in what are very very nice surroundings.

it was exciting to watch the tea pourer pouring tea with the long spout into our tiny cups!! held my breath just in case the tea overflowed from the cups. but it didn't! The dim sum was not too bad. Falls into the category of better dim sum than most dim sum restaurants. Yet, it was definitely on the higher end of expensive restaurants.

The chinese tea wasnt that good. It was like just some herbs in boiling water. And it was not hot. Could have been much much better.
