There are a couple of stalls nearby that sell almost similar dishes, but this is the wife’s preferred one. The xiaolongbaos were freshly made and the skin was not too thick. The meat was well seasoned and tasty. We also liked the wontons in chilli...oil, which had a nice spiciness. We found the crowd favourite of fried guotie or dumplings to be ordinary though. Including a frozen pack of xiaolongbao, the cost was $33.More

First noticed this stall as there was a queue and we managed to visit a couple of times in a week. Between the visits, we tried a couple of their noodle dishes - one of which was the dan dan mian - the panfried dumplings,...the dumplings in chilli oil, and some steamed dumplings. The steamed dumplings were ok but the other 2 were exceptional – as good as or better than what you get in restaurants and at a much more affordable price. The noodles had a really nice, springy texture. The seasoning for the dumplings and noodles were flavourful but not too strong. The stall opens around 11.30 for lunch, then closes and reopens around 5 for the dinner service. Both times we went around for early dinner soon after it opened and the queues were manageable. Definitely recommended!More

This humble stall located at a busy hawker Centre at Chinatown serves extremely delicious, freshly made dumplings. I highly recommend their Xiao Long Bao and their Szechuan spicy wantons. The hot chili oil gives such an amazing flavor you’ll want to have second servings. Do...yourself a favor and plan to visit this stall on a weekday, just when they open for lunch or dinner. If not, be prepared to queue for a long time. I highly recommend this stall for delicious handmade dumplings.More

Fantastic dumplings, probably the best dumplings in Singapore. They really deserve the guide Michelin they earned 2018

I got in this line because it was long (did that with success a few times in Singapore) and then asked the folks in line what to order. Dumplings were great and staff gave us a nice amount of spice (I wanted some, but typically...less than a full dose). After getting back to Seattle, I went for dumplings at my favorite spot and they paled by comparison.More

Even though we met @ past 2pm for a late lunch in order to avoid a queue, there was still a no. of customers queueing for the Xiao Long Bao! We ordered 10 pieces of Xiao Long Bao with the soup inside for only $6...and another plate of steamed Xiao Long Bao for a total price of only $12.50. The meal was certainly delicious and very good value for money! And believe it or not, we could not finish all. Highly recommended indeed.More

Excellent dumplings in a hectic hawker centre atmosphere - the line may look long but it moves pretty quickly.

Arrived at 11:15 right before they opened so the line wasnt that bad for me. Ordered the XLBs and the hot chili wontons. The price as with hawker centers was very reasonable. The soup dumplings didnt have much soup in them but were very flavorful...(a bit sweet, in a good way). The hot oil wontons were definitely my favourite however - the wrappers and the fillings of the dumplings were superb. One of the best i have had. Would definitely come back here if the wait wasnt long.More

Caveat: This is our first trip to Asia and Singapore was our first stop, still Zhong Guo La Mian Xiao Long Bao gave us the best dumplings we have ever had. We plan to go back next time we are in Singapore. Our friends with...us said the same. We got the pan fried and steamed and both were good but if we had to choose one type, it would be the pan fried. Can’t wait to go back. We also tried a noodle dish but my husband wasn’t a huge fan personally.More

Went there for a dinner and was happy to find a Michelin star on a stall. Ordered 2 dishes steamed and pan fried dumplings. Delicious and tasty meals... till 3 am when I woke up with strong stomach ache. After vomiting for an hour I...had to call a doctor. He said I have been food poisoned. I have been visiting Sg every year since 2012 and every time I have eaten street food in different places being sure it is clean, safe and tasty. It is more than a pity that this stall has Michelin star and spoil the image of Singapore as a Food Heaven!!!More

We were happy to find one of rewarded food stalls at Chinatown complex and had 4 of their famous meals. The taste was excellent. Five hours later we both felt awfully, vomited and had severe stomach aches and diarrhea. We hadn’t had any other food...that evening so the only cause of our bad condition can be only the famous dumplings. Very unpleasant surprise hence we eat street food in Singapore every summer for 8 years and haven’t had such an awful experience.More

It's a must try! Very good dumplings made fresh in the shop! The best are the pan friends and the streamed buns. I will come back again for sure.

Based on favourable reviews and a Michelin rating we chose this stall (02-135) in the Chinatown 335 Smith Street food hawkers mall for their pork dumplings. With 200+ stalls its difficult to make a choice. Arrived at 11:30 and there was already 10 in line...ahead of us. While waiting a local customer behind us was here for the fried dumplings indicating the fried version was her favourite, so we chose fried too (options are steamed or fried). Placed our order (10 pieces for $6s). Filled two small cups of dipping sauce, one ginger one spicy chilli while the dumplings were being assembled. Paid the tab, found a table and wow, the dumplings were so good.More

This is our best discovery to date! It all started with our quest to find a joint more affordable than Din Tai Fung. Swee Choon was a good alternative although not quite apples & oranges by comparison. The Xiao Long Bao & Guo tie served...here is by far the most value-for-money! 10 pieces cost under $5. For this price the quality is damn good: pipping hot, thin yet chewy pockets filled with delicious meat & leek...absolutely yummy! We liked the Wontons with Chilli Oil best of all. The generous slathering of oil & sauce with spring onions topping was heavenly! The sour & spicy soup was milder & not as sour than usual versions, but we liked their’s better as it’s less starchy & thick. Has loads of ingredients for only $2.50. Will be back to check out their noodles next time. Great tasting food that do not burn a hole in our pocket, we like! 👍🏼More
