Ok for inexpensive breakfast. Had the poori set, which is 2 poori and 2 dal. Filter coffee was ok. Fine in this area where a lot of places aren't open early.

I am a fan of Prata + Mock curry of Komalas... The taste is not as good as it used to be... The Chutneys accompanying the Vadas are also not tastes good this time... Still a hygenic south Indian restaurant chain in Singapore

There were 3 of us & we had garlic fried rice, plain naan and cheese parotta. They were tasted good. I ordered the masala tea and requested for less sugar. It turned out really great!

Oh well, I can't think of a title hence I indicated that. It's not that close to the food in India but it's good enough for me! The garlic fried rice was good but it's not properly fried, hence certain mouths it's blend and certain mouths it's salty. The plain naan set I had was great! The sides were soooooooo... More

Komala's is a vegetarian restaurant located in Serangoon road, Singapore. The restaurant is modeled on fast food, but at a leisurely pace. The food served is above average, not very expensive and sufficient quantity for the price. The South Indian veg thali and Biryani thali are good and come with puris and cold drinks. Good for a quick eat.

It's like an Indian fast food restaurant. It only serves vegetarian food, mainly South Indian. It was fast and not too expensive. I ordered a dosa set for around SGD 7, which comes with a drink. The food was nice and came in a good portion but the spices were a little too mild for my liking.

We got there on a week day around 22hs, still open, got our delicious set meals in less than 5 minutes. Spend less than 15S$ each (including lassi) and ate very well. Loved it. Important: Food was not greasy or oily. Tasted good and sat well in stomach. Has an Indian-McDonalds feel, so maybe would not recommend for a romantic... More

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
